    摘要: The present disclosure is directed to liquid ring compressors that can be employed to remove liquid from a wet gas and/or to compress a wet gas. In one embodiment, a liquid ring compressor includes a shaft, a main body inner casing disposed about the shaft to form a chamber between the shaft and the main body inner casing, and an inlet configured to remove a portion of liquid from a wet gas and to direct the wet gas into the chamber. The liquid ring compressor also includes an impeller rotatably disposed within the chamber and configured to direct a remaining portion of the liquid in the wet gas out towards the main body inner casing to form a liquid ring within the chamber to compress the wet gas.

    摘要: A method for separating carbon dioxide (CO2) from a gas stream is provided. The method includes cooling the gas stream in a cooling stage to form a cooled gas stream and cooling the cooled gas stream in a converging-diverging nozzle to form one or both of solid CO2 and liquid CO2. The method further includes separating at least a portion of one or both of solid CO2 and liquid CO2 from the cooled gas stream in the converging-diverging nozzle to form a CO2-rich stream and a CO2-lean gas stream. The method further includes expanding the CO2-lean gas stream in an expander downstream of the converging-diverging nozzle to form a cooled CO2-lean gas stream and circulating at least a portion of the cooled CO2-lean gas stream to the cooling stage for cooling the gas stream. Systems for separating carbon dioxide (CO2) from a CO2 stream are also provided.

    摘要: A waste heat recovery system includes a heat recovery cycle system coupled to at least two separate heat sources having different temperatures. The heat recovery cycle system is coupled to a first heat source and at least one second heat source. The heat recovery cycle system is configured to circulate a working fluid. The at least one second heat source includes a lower temperature heat source than the first heat source. The working fluid is circulatable in heat exchange relationship through a first heat exchange unit, a second heat exchange unit for heating the working fluid in the heat recovery cycle system. The first heat exchange unit is coupled to the at least one second heat source to heat at least a portion of a cooled stream of working fluid to a substantially higher temperature.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a turbomachine for imparting energy to a multiphase fluid is provided. The turbomachine comprises a casing having an inlet and an outlet; an axial stage part comprising at least one axial stage; a mixed-flow stage part comprising at least one mixed-flow stage fluidly connected to the axial stage part; and a centrifugal stage part comprising at least one centrifugal stage fluidly connected to the mixed-flow stage part. The axial stage is defined by an angle between an axial impeller outlet flow and an axis parallel to a rotational axis of the shaft having a value between 0° and 5°, the mixed-flow stage by an angle having a value between 5° and 80°, and the centrifugal stage by an angle having a value between 80° and 90°.
