摘要: The present invention concerns methods for treating or preventing neurological disorders characterized by dysfunction of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors by administering 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl heptanoate (TMPH), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to the patient. In another aspect, the present invention pertains to pharmaceutical compositions containing TMPH, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In another aspect, the present invention pertains to methods for selectively inhibiting nicotinic acetylcholine receptors that lack an α5, α6, or β3 subunit by contacting an effective amount of TMPH, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to the receptor. The method for selectively inhibiting nicotinic acethylcholine receptors that lack an α5 subunit can be carried out in vivo or in vitro.

摘要: A receptacle for attachment to a rim is disclosed, being primarily used to store wheel lug nuts into said receptacle for storage and transportation of lug nuts with their associated wheels. The receptacle comprises a lid, a container and a securing pin. The container secures the wheel lug nuts, while the lid fastens onto the container to secure its contents, and meanwhile the securing pin secures the lid onto the container and ultimately onto the rim of the wheel, such that the wheel lug nuts are easily stored with the rim. This procedure is primarily performed before the winter or summer seasons, or when the wheels are changed for wheel leasing purposes or the transportation of wheels with their associated lug nuts, to ensure that the wheel lug nuts are never misplaced or lost.

摘要: A distal end of a stent graft fenestration or other special purpose catheter is guided to a location in a patient's vasculature based on input from a surgeon using a pre-operatively generated image of the patient's vasculature—this can be in proximity to an already implanted device. The movement of the catheter is controlled by a robotic surgical system based upon the input from the surgeon. The distal end of the catheter, at the location, is synchronized to the patient's cardiac cycle so the robotic surgical system maintains the distal end of the catheter at the location throughout a cardiac cycle of the patient. The surgeon is not required to precisely manipulate the catheter to maintain the distal end in the proper location throughout the cardiac cycle. The surgeon can focus on performing the desired procedure such as fenestrating the stent graft, endostapling or endosuturing, for example.

摘要: Improvements in and relating to a cooking apparatus A container (201) for storing and steaming food is disclosed, together with a packaged food product, a method of packaging food items and a method of cooking food items. The container (201) comprises a first compartment (202) for containing a steam source and a second compartment (203) for containing at least one food item. The second compartment (203) is disposed above the first compartment (202). Preferably, the first compartment (202) is separated from the second compartment (203) by a partition (221) and an adjustable barrier (240), the partition (201) comprising at least one opening (223) for admitting water vapour into the second compartment (203) from the first compartment (202). Preferably, the adjustable barrier (240) is movable from a) a food storing configuration in which the adjustable barrier (240) prevents flow of at least one of i) liquid and ii) gas from the first compartment (202) to the second compartment (203), to b) a food steaming configuration in which at least one of i) liquid and ii) gas is able to flow between the first and second compartments (202, 203).

摘要: A system and method are provided for receiving extracted data from a transaction database. Extracted data is transformed into a predefined structure and used to populate a database. A set of measures are then provided for interrogating the database and these may be displayed to the user with dimensions which maybe applied to filter the data. Data presented to a user is relevant to his or her area of activity. The data is periodically refreshed and signals are presented in the data relating to issues requiring further investigation.

摘要: A stent graft system includes a first stent graft having a first end and a second end opposing the first end. The system further includes a second stent graft in fluid communication with the first stent graft. The second stent graft defines a lumen a third end in fluid communication with the second end. The second stent graft further includes a fourth end opposing the third end, and at least a first sleeve and second sleeve extending radially therefrom and in fluid communication with the lumen, The first sleeve is radially offset from the second sleeve. Each of the first sleeve and second sleeve comprises a flexible material configured to evert between a first position such that the sleeve is positioned within the lumen and a second position such that the sleeve is positioned exterior to the lumen. The system further includes a third stent graft.

摘要: A system and method are provided for extracting user selected data from a database. Configuration data is stored defining how a user selected data is to be extracted in response to a user request. A database query is generated from the user request using the configuration data and data extracted in response to the query. This extracted data is supplied to the user. The database query includes data defining to be measured and displayed and data defining any dimensions for that measure selected by the user. The data defining the measure and dimensions are a portion of the configuration data. Another aspect of the invention provides a method and apparatus for supplying a set of chart data from a database to a user in response to the user input. A number of sets of chart data are stored in a cache memory and a determination is made as to whether or not a user input corresponds to a request for a set of chart data stored in the cache memory. A set of chart data is supplied from the cache memory to the user in dependence on the result of the determination.
