摘要: A modular stent graft assembly (10) for repairing a ruptured abdominal aorta aneurysm (90) and having an aortic section tubular graft (12) and an iliac section tubular graft (14). The aortic section graft has a proximal attachment stent (32) thereon for suprarenal attachment of the assembly (10) to the aorta. A proximal end portion (50) of the iliac section graft (14) underlies the distal end portion (28) of the aortic graft (12) and presses outwardly thereagainst forming a friction fit, at a telescoping region (64). The assembly (10) can be selected from an inventory (300) containing a set of delivery systems (100) of four size aortic section grafts (12) and a set of delivery systems (200) of four size iliac section grafts (14), that together accommodate a large majority of aneurysm sizes, and delivery systems (250) containing four standard sizes of occluders (80).

摘要: A lightweight portable device allows a user to accomplish both the exercises of a functional cable machine and a bodyweight suspension trainer. The device can include at least one non-elastic cord or strap, each retractably attached to a reel. The reel has a locking mechanism and a variable resistance mechanism. When the locking mechanism is engaged, it keeps the strap or cord in a fixed location. This allows the user to perform bodyweight suspension training exercises. The variable resistance mechanism of the reel can increase or decrease the amount of force that is needed to be applied to move the reel, thus giving the user the ability to perform the variable resistance exercises of a functional cable machine. The resistance mechanism can be designed as compact and lightweight, thus making the device able to be portable and compact in size.

摘要: An intraoperative anastomosis method is described and comprises the steps of providing an intraluminal prosthesis having a first end and a second end; suturing a first vessel to a second vessel to form a vessel junction; intraluminally delivering the prosthesis so that the first end of the prosthesis is disposed within the first vessel and the second end of the prosthesis is disposed within the second vessel; and deploying the prosthesis so that the prosthesis overlaps and reinforces the vessel junction. The vessel suturing, prosthesis delivering, and prosthesis deploying steps may be performed in a single operation. Other devices, systems, and methods are described.

摘要: A stent graft (40) has a tubular body with a first bifurcation (54) with first and second legs (50, 52) extending from the bifurcation. One of the legs (52) has a further bifurcation (62) to define a side arm. The stent graft can be deployed into the vasculature of a patient with the tubular body being in an aorta of the patient, a first leg extending down an iliac artery, a second leg being directed towards a contralateral iliac artery and the side arm directed to an internal artery of one of the iliac arteries. One of the legs can include a valved aperture to enable the placement of an indwelling catheter therethrough

摘要: An introduction arrangement for a fenestrated or branched stent graft (13) intended for deployment into the lumen of a vessel having a blind vessel extending from it. The introducer (1) has a distal end intended to remain outside a patient in use and a proximal end with a nose cone dilator (11) and an arrangement to retain the branched stent graft distally of the nose cone dilator. A sheath (15) on the introducer extends over the branched stent graft to the nose cone dilator. An indwelling catheter (22) extends from the distal end of the introducer and enters the fenestration or side arm and through to the nose cone dilator, the indwelling catheter has a guide wire (29) extending through it. The guide wire can be extended beyond the nose cone dilator in use before the sheath is withdrawn from the branched stent graft so that it can be snared from the contra-lateral artery.

摘要: A stent graft delivery system in which a stent graft (6) is retained on a delivery device (2) such that a longitudinal portion of the stent graft is releasably retained on the delivery device to bend therewith. The delivery device (2) has a guide wire catheter (3) and the stent graft is retained onto the guide wire catheter by a release wire (24) which can be withdrawn. The release wire is wound around the guide wire catheter and through the stent graft or suture loops engage around the guide wire catheter and release wire.

摘要: An apparatus for repairing the function of a diseased valve includes an annular first support member expandable to a first diameter. An annular second support member is spaced axially apart from the first support member and is expandable to a second diameter that is independent of the first diameter. A tubular graft section interconnects the first and second support members. The graft section defines an annulus having a third diameter that is independent of each of the first and second diameters. A prosthetic valve is secured within the annulus of the graft section. The bioprosthetic valve has at least two valve leaflets that are coaptable to permit the unidirectional flow of blood. Methods for repairing the function of a diseased valve and for making the apparatus are also provided.
