摘要: Disclosed is a D-xylopyranoside series compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents a benzyl group, ##STR2## (X, Y and p are as defined in the specification), ##STR3## --S--R.sup.2 (R.sup.2 is as defined in the specification), or an alkyl group having from 6 to 25 carbon atoms, said compounds alter the nature and amount of proteoglycan on the surface of tumor cells to thereby enhance the immune reaction to said tumor cells.

摘要: A refrigeration device includes a compression mechanism, a radiator, a first expansion mechanism, a second expansion mechanism, an evaporator, a first internal heat exchanger, a branch pipe, a third expansion mechanism, and a second internal heat exchanger. The first internal heat exchanger causes heat to be exchanged between refrigerant that flows from the radiator to the inflow side of the first expansion mechanism, and refrigerant that flows from the evaporator to the compression mechanism. The branch pipe branches from a third refrigerant pipe for connecting the radiator and the second expansion mechanism, and merges with the second refrigerant pipe. A third expansion mechanism is provided to the branch pipe. The second internal heat exchanger causes heat to be exchanged between refrigerant that flows out from the first expansion mechanism, and refrigerant that flows out from the third expansion mechanism.

摘要: An elastic crawler having a crawler body formed of a rubber elastic material into an endless belt so that rollers rotatively move on right and left side regions on an inner surface of the crawler body is provided with a reinforcement provided extending outwardly in a thickness direction of the crawler body in an area of the crawler body extending at least partially under said right and left ends of each of the rollers. The prevents the elastically bendable side regions from being cracked when either of the side regions of the elastic crawler is bent about an axis that extends in a circumferential direction of the crawler.

摘要: A socket is molded at the edge of a plastic resin tube with a male mold and a female mold wherein the male mold comprises a large diameter part, a tapered part and a small diameter part and the female mold comprises a barrel for surrounding the male mold small diameter part with a gap larger than the thickness of the resin tube and a split stopper for closing the opening of the annular space formed between the male mold small diameter part and barrel. In the operation, the edge of the resin tube is heated to soften it and it is outwardly fitted on the male mold small diameter part and the stopper is contacted at the boundary part between the male mold small diameter part and the tapered part, or on the small diameter part near the boundary, and the barrel is connected to the split stopper to dispose it about the outer part of the male mold small diameter part, and the resin tube is pushed to the direction of the male mold large diameter part to fill the edge of the resin tube in the annular space formed by the male mold small diameter part and the barrel and the stopper so as to increase the thickness, and the barrel connected with the split stopper which is radially opened and the resin tube is pushed to the direction of the large diameter part so as to outwardly fit the edge of the resin tube having the thickness increased part on the male mold large diameter part.In the other embodiment, the barrel is not split and can be contacted with the split stopper. In this case, after increasing the thickness of the resin tube, the stopper is taken out from the male mold by radially opening it and the barrel is taken out to the direction of the male mold large diameter part.

摘要: A highly durable elastic crawler with a tensile cord having both ends thereof overlapped mutually in a crawler body thus being circumferentially wound around the crawler is provided. An elastic crawler includes; a crawler body including an endless belt-like elastic body; metal cores embedded in the crawler body, each of the metal cores including vanes and arranged at predetermined intervals circumferentially; and tensile cords transversely arranged, wound around the outer circumference side of the vanes, and embedded in the crawler body while vicinity portions of both ends of the tensile cords are overlapped mutually. An inner circumference side end is arranged at an outer circumference side of any one of the vanes. The distance between the vicinity portion of the inner circumference side end and the outer circumference side portion of the tensile cord overlapped there is increased from the vicinity portion toward the inner circumference side end.
