A display apparatus and a method for displaying a highlight thereof are provided. The method for displaying a highlight on a display apparatus includes determining a shape and a size of a menu item selected by a user, determining a plurality of source images to be used to generate a highlight with respect to the menu item according to whether the highlight has symmetry based on the shape of the menu item, and generating the highlight with respect to the menu item by magnifying a size of the plurality of source images according to the size of the menu item and displaying the generated highlight.

The electronic apparatus includes an inputter configured to receive a power-on command, and a memory configured to store task-processing information of tasks for each booting mode. The electronic apparatus further includes a processor configured to, in response to the reception of the power-on command, determine a booting mode, based on use information of the electronic apparatus, determine a priority order and an affinity of each of the tasks for the determined booting mode, based on the task-processing information of the tasks for the determined booting mode, and process the tasks for the determined booting mode, based on the determined priority order and affinity of each of the tasks for the determined booting mode, to boot the electronic apparatus.

A display apparatus, a connectable external peripheral device and a method of displaying an image are disclosed. The display apparatus includes a display unit; an image processor which first processes an image signal according to a preset first image processing operation, and secondly processes the first processed image signal processed according to the first image processing operation, and outputs the processed image signal to the display unit. The display apparatus further includes a peripheral device connector, to which an external peripheral device is connected that processes the image signal processed by the first image processing operation. The second image processing operation is performed in the external peripheral device. The image processor transmitting to the external peripheral device the first processed image signal in response to the external peripheral device being connected to the peripheral device connector.

The display apparatus includes: a display; a decoder which decodes an image in unit of a MCU; a scaler which scales the decoded image; a memory which stores the scaled image; and a controller which controls the display to display the scaled image, sets an RAU structure of the image, and further stores in the memory image information corresponding to the RAU structure. Thus, even if a decoded and scaled image is zoomed in, the quality of the zoomed image may be maintained at a high level.

The system for providing a guideline for optimizing a platform includes: a virtual hardware platform which virtually simulates a hardware architecture equivalent to hardware and performs a function of the hardware; a software platform which provides an operating environment of software on the virtual hardware platform; an application class which installs and operates software to be inspected on the software platform; a simulation class which simulates the software to be inspected; and an optimization inspection class which inspects whether the software to be inspected is optimized to the hardware platform or the software platform, during the simulation, the optimization inspection class providing an optimization inspection result of the software to be inspected as the guideline for optimizing the platform.
