    Abstract: An electronic device that can be worn on a user's body and an operating method thereof. An electrode for charging and measuring is included in a front side of the electronic device. The electronic device includes a battery, a charging circuit for charging the battery, a bio-sensor, and a processor. The processor is configured to determine whether the battery is being charged through the charging circuit. If the battery is not being charged, the processor is configured to acquire biometric information by using a first method through the bio-sensor, and if the battery is being charged, the processor is configured to acquire the biometric information by using a second method through the bio-sensor.

    Abstract: According to certain embodiments, an electronic device comprises: a housing; an optical sensor module disposed in the housing and including one or more light-emitting elements, and one or more light-receiving elements; a light source driver disposed in the housing and configured to control power supply of the one or more light-emitting elements; and at least one processor disposed in the housing and operatively connected to the optical sensor module and the light source driver, wherein the at least one processor is configured to identify a light source of the one or more light-emitting elements and turn-on/off timings of the one or more light-emitting elements according to a sensor measurement mode or a measurement function when the optical sensor module is driven, configure a control signal of the light source driver in response to the identified turn-on/off timings of the one or more light-emitting elements, based on the control signal, apply an output voltage of the light source driver as power of the one or more light-emitting elements in a turn-on period of the one or more light-emitting elements, and block the power of the one or more light-emitting elements by limiting output of the light source driver in a turn-off period of the one or more light-emitting elements.

    Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing that includes a sensing surface, a light emitting unit that outputs a light through the sensing surface, a light receiving unit that collects a reflection light reflected from an external object in contact with the sensing surface, after the light is output from the light emitting unit, and a first Fresnel lens that is disposed between the light receiving unit and the sensing surface. A first surface of the first Fresnel lens total reflects the reflection light introduced in a direction perpendicular to the sensing surface, and a second surface of the first Fresnel lens refracts the total reflected light so as to be introduced to the light receiving unit.

    Abstract: In various embodiments, an electronic device may include: a light receiver including light receiving circuitry, a light emitter including light emitting circuitry, a partition wall disposed between the light receiver and the light emitter configured to block light emitted by the light emitter from being directly incident on the light receiver, a film disposed above one surface of the light receiver, and a processor. The film may include a transmission region configured to transmit light of all wavelength bands and a selective blocking region configured to absorb light of a specific wavelength band.     Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise: a housing comprising an inner space; a sensor structure positioned in the housing and exposed through a part of the housing, the sensor structure comprising a substantially transparent plate comprising a first surface facing away from the inner space and a second surface facing away from the first surface; a support structure positioned in the inner space so as to face the transparent plate; at least one light-emitting element mounted on the support structure while being spaced apart from the second surface and inserted between the second surface and the support structure; a spatial light modulator (SLM) disposed between the transparent plate and the LED while being spaced apart from the light-emitting element; a light-receiving element mounted on the support structure and positioned between the second surface and the support structure while being adjacent to a side surface of the light-emitting element; and a processing circuit comprising at least one electrical path electrically connected to the SLM, the processing circuit being operatively connected to the light-receiving element and configured to generate photoplethysmogram (PPG) data by using the light-emitting element. Other embodiments are possible.
