Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring characteristics of a drilling mud, a rate of penetration (ROP), and other factors to determine which remedial actions to perform and how to perform them. In conventional drilling operations, there are many systems which operate independently and do not share data, leading to inefficient actions when the operation is viewed as a whole. The systems and methods of the present disclosure enable a bigger picture to be considered, including a cost of replenishing mud, the wear on drilling tools, the effect of running a centrifuge, etc.

Abstract: A well operation facility including a first pump for delivering mud and cement to a borehole, a second pump for delivering mud to the borehole; a third pump for delivering the mud to the borehole, an inlet manifold coupled to each of the pumps for delivering the mud and/or cement to the pumps, and a discharge manifold coupled to each of the pumps for delivering the mud and/or cement at a pressure. In some embodiments, the first pump, the second pump, and the third pump are configured to be isolated from each other and to be used in series, parallel or as backups to each other.

Abstract: A technique facilitates mixing of cement slurry for use in a cementing application. At least one cement mixer is provided with a tank, e.g. a conical tank, having a powder cement blend inlet and a mixing liquid inlet. A cement slurry discharge may be positioned generally beneath the tank. A mixing assembly also is positioned below the tank and driven by a shaft. The mixing assembly is exposed to an interior of the tank and is used to mix the cement slurry when rotated by the shaft and to direct the cement slurry out through the cement slurry discharge. Additionally, a recirculation system comprises an inlet positioned to receive a portion of the cement slurry mixed in the mixing assembly. The recirculation system also comprises an outlet positioned to direct the portion back into the mixer to enhance mixing effects.
