摘要: A technique facilitates use of an inductive coupler assembly with casing, e.g. well casing. An inductive coupler is formed as a female inductive coupler with an inductive coil. The inductive coupler is constructed for sliding movement along an exterior of the casing so that it may ultimately be positioned and secured at a suitable location along the casing. The inductive coupler is designed for connection with an electrical device, e.g. a sensor. The inductive coupler facilitates the transfer of sensor data and/or power signals across the casing. Signal transfer across the casing is further enabled by a male inductive coupler positioned within the casing at a location which allows it to cooperate with the exterior, female inductive coupler.

摘要: A technique facilitates wellbore operations and utilization of wellbore equipment, e.g. equipment comprising actuation devices for downhole tools. According to an embodiment, the system comprises a pump solution for an electrically control device, e.g. an electrically controlled valve. The system may comprise hydraulic circuitry which utilizes bellows to effectively enclose the hydraulic circuitry. Consequently, the system enables an electrically control downhole system having components hydraulically actuated via a closed loop hydraulic system.

摘要: A tool includes a mandrel and at least one gate. The mandrel includes a bore, and the mandrel is able to connect in-line with at least one sand control device of a bottom hole assembly such that the mandrel is coaxial with the at least one sand control device. The mandrel also includes a flow path configuration, such as, at least one flow path connecting the at least one sand control device to the bore, at least one flow path connecting the bore to at least two sand control devices, and at least one flow path connecting the bore to the at least one sand control device and to another device of the bottom hole assembly. The at least one gate has an initial position, and the at least one gate is configured to move from the initial position into a different position to control fluid flow.

摘要: An adaptive multiband access communication system and method for a network of downhole components located in a wellbore are disclosed. Low noise regions of a communication spectrum are identified and frequency channels within the low noise regions are assigned to the downhole components. Communications on the assigned channels are monitored for quality and adjustments are dynamically made to frequency channel assignments if the quality does not satisfy an acceptance criterion.

摘要: A controllable, multi-zone control system is provided for controlling the inflow of fluids into a completion, e.g. a lateral completion, at a plurality of well zones. According to an embodiment, flow control devices are distributed along the completion and a control module is positioned between the flow control devices, e.g. in a middle region of the completion. The control module is supplied with hydraulic actuating fluid and is electrically controllable to enable selective distribution of the hydraulic actuating fluid to selected flow control devices. The control module may be controlled via electric signals, thus controlling distribution of hydraulic actuating fluid under pressure to selected flow control devices so as to shift the selected flow control devices to a desired open or closed flow position.

摘要: A technique facilitates verification of the integrity of a lower completion prior to deployment of a corresponding upper completion. A lower completion is initially deployed downhole into a wellbore and comprises a plurality of functional components, such as a sensor, a communication system, a flow control system, and/or other functional components. A service tool system is removably deployed into the wellbore and comprises a service tool with an interface which interacts with the lower completion. The interface enables verification of the integrity, e.g. functionality, of various functional components of the lower completion without the use of an additional communication line, e.g. power cable, routed separately to the lower completion.

摘要: Systems and methods facilitate pumping of various fluids such as well fluids. An electric submersible pumping system is constructed with an outer housing that contains an integrated pump and motor. The pump may include an impeller disposed within a stator of the motor. The integration of the pump and the motor enables elimination of various components of traditional electric submersible pumping systems to thus provide a simpler and more compact system for pumping fluids.

摘要: A technique facilitates intervention operations in many types of wells including horizontal, multi-zone wells. According to an embodiment, a completion is deployed in a borehole, e.g. a deviated wellbore. The completion comprises a side pocket mandrel having a docking station. In some embodiments, the completion may comprise a plurality of the side pocket mandrels A device, such as an electrically powered device, is removably deployed in the docking station. When the docking station receives the electrically powered device, an inductive coupler or other suitable electric coupler may be used to provide power to the electrically powered device while deployed in the docking station. The electrically powered device also is configured for engagement with a tool which enables an intervention operation by simply removing and replacing the device via the tool.
