Abstract: A mixing unit comprising a frame, a rheology control portion, and a high-volume solids blending portion. The rheology control portion comprises means for receiving a first material from a first transfer mechanism, a dispersing/mixing system connected with the frame, and a first metering system to meter the first material from the first material receiving means to the dispersing/mixing system. The dispersing/mixing system disperses/mixes the metered first material with a fluid to form a first fluid mixture. The high-volume solids blending portion comprises means for receiving a second material from a second transfer mechanism, a solids blending system connected with the frame, and a second metering system to meter the second material from the second material receiving means to the solids blending system. The solids blending system blends the metered second material with the first fluid mixture to form a second fluid mixture.

Abstract: A mobile oilfield material transfer unit includes a chassis having a gooseneck and support base, the support base including a first portion and second portion, and the chassis further comprising a rear axle suspension system coupled with at least two wheels for movably supporting the chassis. The mobile oilfield material transfer unit further includes an erecting mast assembly having a mast movably connected with the chassis proximate to the second portion, and an actuator system coupled with the mast and with the chassis for moving the mast between a horizontal position and a vertical position. At least two vertical conveyor assemblies may be coupled with the erecting mast and moveable between the horizontal position and the vertical position, and at least two horizontal conveyor systems may be coupled with the support frame and engageable with the at least two vertical conveyor assemblies. Each of the at least two horizontal conveyor systems may have a horizontal section with an inlet and an inclinable section with a discharge chute. Also, each of the at least two horizontal conveyor systems may be adapted to move a volume of oilfield material from the inlet to the discharge chute.

Abstract: A blender apparatus is disclosed having a chassis, a mixer positioned on the chassis, and a transfer pump positioned on the chassis. The mixer has a mixer housing defining a first mixer inlet, a second mixer inlet, and a mixer outlet. The first mixer inlet receives a liquid component, and the second mixer inlet receives a dry component. The mixer pressurizes at least the liquid component within the housing and discharges the liquid component through the mixer outlet at a first pressure above hydrostatic pressure. The transfer pump has a pump housing defining a pump inlet, a pump outlet and is devoid of an inlet configured to receive a dry component through a gravity feed. The transfer pump receives the liquid component through the pump inlet, pressurizes the liquid component within the pump housing, and discharges the liquid component through the pump outlet at a second pressure above hydrostatic pressure.

Abstract: A system and methodology facilitates the handling of oilfield materials in a space efficient manner. The oilfield materials are delivered without blowers to at least one modular silo. Each modular silo comprises an outer housing defining an enclosed interior. A vertical conveyor is positioned within the enclosed interior and is used to lift the oilfield material from a silo inlet to an upper portion of the modular silo without utilizing airflow to carry the oilfield materials. Once the oilfield materials are disposed within the upright modular silo, the outflow of oilfield materials through a silo outlet may be controlled so as to selectively release the desired amount of material into a blender or other suitable equipment.
