Abstract: An information processing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a processor including a first data processor that is configured to perform a piece of first data processing on the basis of a piece of first data to thereby generate a piece of second data; a selector that selects one piece of data from among a plurality of pieces of data including the piece of first data and the piece of second data; an arithmetic processor that is configured to selectively perform one of a plurality of pieces of arithmetic processing, and performs a piece of arithmetic processing selected from among the plurality of pieces of arithmetic processing on the basis of the piece of data selected by the selector; and a supply section that controls supply of electric power to the first data processor in accordance with the piece of data selected by the selector from among the plurality of pieces of data.

Abstract: There are achieved an apparatus and a method for switching a color image-based composite image and a black-and-white image-based composite image at an optimum timing such that it is difficult for an observer to notice the switching of the images. A color image and a black-and-white image captured from different viewpoints are input to generate either of the following two types of composite images of (a) a color image-based composite image in which a position of the black-and-white image is adjusted to coincide with a position of the color image and (b) a black-and-white image-based composite image in which the position of the color image is adjusted to coincide with the position of the black-and-white image, by switching between the two types of composite images on the basis of a predetermined reference image switching threshold. In this configuration, a hysteresis is set as the reference image switching threshold, and the hysteresis is changed according to a situation. Thus, reference images can be switched at an optimum timing such that it is difficult for an observer to notice the switching of the reference images.

The mapping unit causes a reference trajectory to be displayed on the first screen under the control of the display control unit, and determines an optimal mapping algorithm on the basis of a user trajectory according to a motion of the user with respect to the reference trajectory.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method are achieved in which guide information for enabling a high-quality composite image to be captured is output. Included are a composite image generation unit that performs a process of combining a color image and a black-and-white image captured from different viewpoints, to generate a composite image, and a display information control unit that performs control such that auxiliary information regarding the composite image is displayed on a display unit. In a case where a subject is too close or in a case where a high-quality composite image cannot be generated due to an obstacle, the display information control unit outputs a proximity alert or an obstacle alert as warning information, and also displays a composite image adaptation level. Moreover, a composite image, a color image, and the like are displayed in parallel so that a user can select an image to be recorded.
