An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a flexible display and at least one processor. The at least one processor can display a first execution screen of a first application in a first area of the flexible display, display a second execution screen of a second application in a second area sharing at least one edge with the first area, obtain a pre-defined event associated with the second application, in response to the pre-defined event, change the second execution screen displayed in the second area to a low power mode while maintaining the first execution screen in the first area, and while the second execution screen is in the low power mode, output some selected content in the second execution screen of the second application in consideration of at least one of a type or the properties of the second application.

Various embodiments of the disclosure provide a method and apparatus for providing a vibration in an electronic device. According to various embodiments of the disclosure, an electronic device may include a memory including instructions stored therein, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor coupled to the memory is configured to execute the stored instructions for detecting an event for a user's input related to a direction, identifying a vibration pattern having directivity, in response to the detected event, and providing a vibration having directivity by driving the one or more vibration devices, based on the vibration pattern.

The electronic device includes: a housing; a display viewable through a first face of the housing; a processor operatively coupled with the display; and a memory operatively coupled with the processor. The memory may store instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to control the electronic device to: in response to occurrence of an event, display a pop-up window including a first User Interface (UI) corresponding to the event in some regions of the display, detect an input requesting extending and displaying the pop-up window, identify whether a multi-window is active in response to the detection of the input, and based on the multi-window being active, remove the pop-up window and display a second UI for the event on a sub-window having a lowest priority among at least one sub-window other than a main window among the multi-windows.

The method includes detecting a touch input event in a certain area of a locked state screen, determining whether the touch input event is maintained for a predetermined threshold time, and displaying a user interface that provides a pre-set function on the screen based on a result of determination on whether the touch input event is maintained by the controller.
