    摘要: An encapsulated nanostructure fabricated using layers of polymer material and further processed for use in a micro-scale target device is presented. The fabrication includes the formation on a substrate of an array of encapsulated nanostructures. The encapsulated nanostructures each include a nanostructure and a micro-scale, multi-block structure that encapsulates the nanostructure. Each encapsulated nanostructure can be made usable by a target device by removing, e.g., by etching, one of the layers to expose a portion of the nanostructure.

    摘要: A metallic-dielectric photonic crystal is formed with a periodic structure defining a plurality of resonant cavities to selectively absorb incident radiation. A metal layer is deposited on the inner surfaces of the resonant cavities and a dielectric material fills inside the resonant cavities. This photonic crystal can be used to selectively absorb broadband solar radiation and then reemit absorbed radiation in a wavelength band that matches the absorption band of a photovoltaic cell. The photonic crystal can be fabricated by patterning a sacrificial layer with a plurality of holes, into which is deposited a supporting material. Removing the rest of the sacrificial layer creates a supporting structure, on which a layer of metal is deposited to define resonant cavities. A dielectric material then fills the cavities to form the photonic crystal.

    摘要: A portable terminal is equipped with a first housing, a second housing and a hinge device, the second housing being coupled to one end of the first housing and rotating about a hinge axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the first housing, the hinge device rotatably coupling the first housing and the second housing, the hinge device including: a first hinge base mounted on the first housing or the second housing; a second hinge base mounted on the second housing or the first housing, coupled oppositely to the first hinge base, and rotating about the hinge axis; and a hinge stopper mounted adjacent to the second hinge base, and pivoting around the hinge axis as the second hinge base rotates, wherein the hinge stopper is engaged with the first hinge base in at least one point while the second hinge base rotates, and thus stops rotation of the second hinge base.

    摘要: In a mobile communications system, a method of transmitting data corresponding to the same logical channel through two or more base stations, comprising: transmitting a first sub-packet generated by a first base station and a second base station based upon an encoded packet; and at a time point after the lapse of a certain time period from when the first sub-packet was transmitted, transmitting a second sub-packet generated by one of the first and second base stations based upon the encoded packet. When data corresponding to the same logical channel is broadcast from each base station that has respectively different channel environments, data transmission efficiency can be improved.

    摘要: Disclosed is a swing hinge module for a portable communication device, which includes a first housing; a second housing opened from and closed onto the first housing by a hinge about a first hinge axis; a third housing disposed between the first and second housings, the third housing being rotated about a second hinge axis, which is separated from the first hinge axis and follows a vertical direction, so as to be disposed parallel to the first and second housings, the third housing folded or unfolded about a third hinge axis perpendicular to the second hinge axis; and a swing hinge module connecting the third housing to the first housing, so that the third housing can be rotated about the second and third axes. The swing hinge module includes: a shaft assembly having a first shaft providing the third hinge axis and a second shaft providing the second hinge axis and extending in a direction perpendicular to the first shaft; an upper hinge member engaged with the second shaft so as to be rotated together with the second shaft; a lower hinge member restricted by a mounting member so as to be coaxial with the upper hinge, the lower hinge member being independent from the movement of the second shaft; a resilient member disposed between the upper and lower hinge members, for applying a constant force when the third housing is swung; and a stopping means disposed between the upper and lower hinge members, for limiting the rotation angle of the second shaft.
