    摘要: An apparatus for driving a display panel includes a first memory which stores a frame image data, a second memory which stores overshooting information. The apparatus receives an image signal from an external system via a CPU interface process. The second memory stores a difference data between the frame image data and an overshooting data. The overshoot is then calculated from the difference data and the frame image data. The apparatus also includes a two-line memory which stores an image signal of an n-th frame in a line unit and an image signal of an n−1-th frame in another line. The two-line memory compares the consecutive two frame data, so that the apparatus extracts overshooting information from a look up table.

    摘要: An apparatus for driving a display panel includes a first memory which stores a frame image data, a second memory which stores overshooting information.     摘要: A display panel includes an array substrate, an opposite substrate and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the array substrate and the opposite substrate. A sensing array outputs an initial voltage in response to an initial thickness of the liquid crystal layer during an initializing time and a sensing voltage in response to a varied thickness of the liquid crystal layer due to external force during a sensing time. A control part compares the sensing voltage with the initial voltage, determines whether the external force is applied to the display panel, and generates information indicating a position to which the external force is applied. Thus, the display apparatus may improve sensing ability to an external signal inputted through the display panel thereof.

The display includes a display panel on which an image is displayed, and at least one optical sensor (photodetector) to detect the intensity of ambient (external) light incident upon the display panel. An external-brightness detector outputs an external-brightness signal based on the intensity of external (ambient) light and a backlight brightness controller changes the brightness of the image displayed (or backlight) on the display panel according to the external-brightness signal. The driving device may be implemented on an integrated circuit adapted to be connected to external-light photodetectors of type 1 or of type 2. The driving device may be may be dynamically configured to generate the external-brightness signal by sensing a voltage level of the light detecting node in a first mode of operation and may be reconfigured to generate the external-brightness signal by sensing a current level of the light detecting node in a second mode.
