摘要: A tracheal dilator system and method of manufacture are provided, suitable for dilating a passageway into a patient airway. In one embodiment, a tracheal tube is provided. The tracheal tube includes a dilator retrieval tip disposed on a distal end of a tracheal tube cannula. The dilator retrieval tip is configured to retrieve a tracheal dilator configured to enter through the distal end of the tracheal tube and exit through a proximal end of the tracheal tube.

摘要: According to various embodiments, an airway visualization device may facilitate the selection and insertion of airway devices. The device may allow clinicians to more effectively determine the appropriate diameter tracheal tube for a particular patient, which in turn may decrease work of breathing and/or discomfort for the patient. In particular embodiments, the airway visualization device provides a displayed image of the patient's airway upon which a representative tracheal tube or other airway device may be superimposed. The clinician may evaluate the superimposed image to determine if the representative tracheal tube is appropriately sized for the airway.

摘要: A surgical stapler comprises a hollow shaft 10 and a tube 92 slidable axially within the shaft between a forward position wherein one end 96 of the tube projects beyond a free end of the shaft to enter a puncture site in a blood vessel and a rearward position wherein the end of the locator tube is retracted within the shaft. A surgical staple 40 straddles the tube 92 and is slidable thereon forwardly towards an anvil 24 against which the staple may be deformed to staple together the opposite edges of the puncture site. A cam mechanism drives the staple forwardly along the tube 92 into deforming engagement with the anvil and at the same time retracts the tube into the shaft in time to allow the legs of the staple to close onto the puncture site.

摘要: An adapter utilized to interconnect a fluid container and a tubing set having a retractable spike and a rolling seal diaphragm for establishing fluid flow communication between a nutrition container and an administration tubing set while maintaining a fluid-tight seal. The rolling seal diaphragm includes a rolling seal portion which sealingly engages the retractable spike which remains engaged with the spike while the spike is biased between an engaged position and a disengaged position.

摘要: A computer-implemented method is provided for optimizing allocation of resources across stories for a release within an Agile development environment. The method includes receiving (i) resource information representing a plurality of resources available for allocation to the stories, (ii) one or more story definitions, each story definition comprising a unique identifier and one or more story-level constraints corresponding to a story, (iii) release information, (iv) iteration information, and (iv) one or more optimization criteria. The method also includes generating a plurality of story-level allocation scenarios and determining one or more optimized story-level allocation scenarios from the plurality of story-level allocation scenarios. Each story-level allocation scenario satisfies the one or more story-level constraints associated with each story definition. Each optimized story-level allocation scenario optimizes assignment of iterations or allocation of resources to the stories to satisfy the one or more optimization criteria.

摘要: Described are methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, for optimizing allocation of resources across projects in a project portfolio. The method includes receiving, at a computing device, (i) resource information, (ii) a portfolio of project definitions and (iii) one or more portfolio-level optimization criteria. The resource information representing a plurality of resources available for allocation to the projects, and each project definition includes a unique identifier and one or more project-level constraints. The method also includes generating, using the computing device, a plurality of project portfolio allocation scenarios and determining one or more optimized project portfolio allocation scenarios from the plurality of project portfolio allocation scenarios. Each project portfolio allocation scenario satisfies the one or more project-level constraints associated with each project definition. Each optimized project portfolio allocation scenario optimizes a sequence of the projects to satisfy the one or more portfolio-level optimization criteria.
