    摘要: This invention provides a thermosetting organic solvent paint comprising (A) a compound having at least two alicyclic epoxy groups in one molecule and having a number average molecular weight of less than 2000, (B) a secondary amino group-containing compound and (C) a thermolatent cationically polymerizable catalyst and further, under circumstances, (D) colloidal silica, and capable of forming a rigid coating film which is hard, tough and excellent in stain resistance, and from which pollutants, if adhered, are easily removed. This invention further provides a method to form a multi-layered top coating film which comprises applying, to a material to be coated, one or more species of colored paint and one or more species of clear paint in order, said method being characterized in that the above-mentioned paint is used as a clear paint which is to be applied on the uppermost layer.

    摘要: The invention provides a non-aqueous polymer dispersion wherein a particulate polymer is dispersed in an organic solvent containing a dispersion stabilizer resin, the polymer being insoluble to the organic solvent and containing a fluoroalkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate as a monomer component. The invention further provides a curable composition comprising the non-aqueous polymer dispersion, a hydroxyl group containing resin and at least one crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of amino resins, tris(alkoxycarbonylamino)triazines, polyisocyanate compounds and blocked polyisocyanate compounds. A highly stain-resistant coating film can be formed using the dispersion or composition of the invention.

    摘要: This invention provides a thermosetting composition comprising (A) a compound (A-1) containing an epoxy group or groups and a reactive silicon group or groups as essential functional group components in the same molecule, or a mixture (A-2) of an epoxy group-containing compound and a reactive silicon group-containing compound, and (B) an organotin catalyst, a thermosetting composition comprising (A) a compound (A-3) containing (i) an epoxy group or groups, (ii) a reactive silicon group or groups and (iii) a hydroxyl group or groups and/or a carboxyl group or groups as essential functional group components in the same molecule, or a mixture (A-4) of at least two types of compounds, each compound containing at least one member selected from the class consisting of functional group components (i) to (iii), and all of the functional group components (i) to (iii) being present in said mixture, and (B) an organotin catalyst; and methods of forming a finish coat using these thermosetting compositions. The thermosetting compositions of the invention is excellent in storage stability, curable at low temperatures, and capable of producing cured products free of discoloration. The coating methods of the invention can form coating films superior in low-temperature curability, finished appearance, acid resistance, scratch resistance, and weatherability.

    摘要: A process for forming an overcoat by the two-coat one-bake method wherein a base coat composition and a clear coat composition are applied to a substrate ##STR1## wet-on-wet and thereafter cured at the same time by heating, the process being characterized in that the base coat composition is an aqueous coating composition consisting primarily of: (I) an aqueous dispersion or solution of a polymer containing a crosslinkable functional group, (II) a crosslinking agent, (III) a coloring pigment, and (IV) water, the clear coat composition being a coating composition comprising: (A) at least one resin selected from the group consisting of (i) a resin having at least one epoxy group and at least one hydroxyl group in the molecule, (ii) a resin mixture of (ii-1) a resin having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule and (ii-2) a resin having at least two hydroxyl groups in the molecule, (iii) a resin having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule, and (iv) any mixture thereof, (B) a crosslinking agent comprising a compound having at least two noncyclic acid anhydride groups and represented by formula (1) wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 50 carbon atoms, R' is a bivalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 50 carbon atoms, the hydrocarbon groups R and R' containing or not containing an ether linkage, urethane linkage or ester linkage, and n is an integer of 1 to 500, and (C) a curing catalyst.
