    摘要: An electrical system for a vehicle includes a main battery system configured to provide power for starting/cranking an engine of the vehicle, an auxiliary battery system configured to provide power for powering a set of accessory loads of the vehicle during starting/cranking of the engine, and a solid-state device disposed therebetween and including a solid-state switch configured to close/open to connect/disconnect the main and auxiliary battery systems to/from each other and intelligence circuity configured to monitor voltages in the main and auxiliary battery systems or current flowing therethrough and, based on the monitoring, commanding the solid-state switch to open to isolate the other of the main and auxiliary battery systems, wherein the isolated one of the main and auxiliary battery systems is configured to provide a degraded but operational operation of an L2+ autonomous driving feature of the vehicle.

The induction coolant system operates by providing coolant to the supercharger and to an intercooler of the forced air induction system. The supercharger case includes internal passageways for cooling the transmission and compressor. The forced air induction system further includes spacers and radiant heat shields for rejecting heat transferred conductively and radiantly from the engine.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for mechanically driving a supercharger and a combination harmonic pulley system and supercharger mounted on a powered vehicle including a crankshaft, the supercharger having a supercharger driveshaft and adapted to provide boost air to the intake of the internal combustion engine, driving the crankshaft which rotates the harmonic pulley system. In general the harmonic pulley system includes a harmonic balancer, a drive shaft pulley, a crankshaft bolt, an alignment structure and a drive belt. The harmonic balancer having a first and second ledge, an annular ring and a central aperture, the driveshaft pulley having an inner and outer region, the inner region includes a first shoulder and presenting a pulley aperture aligned with the central aperture, the outer region including a second shoulder and providing an engaging surface. The crankshaft bolt is received by the engine crankshaft through the pulley aperture and the central aperture wherein said driveshaft pulley is compressed towards the harmonic balancer, the first ledge receiving the first shoulder and the second ledge receiving the second shoulder, said annular ring positioned therebetween. The alignment structure aligns the driveshaft pulley with said harmonic balancer and the drive belt encircles the engaging surface and the supercharger driveshaft whereby the supercharger is mechanically driven by said harmonic pulley system.

    摘要: A supercharger assembly includes a dry-running CVT coupled to a speed multiplying gear set, which is in turn coupled to a centrifugal supercharger. The CVT includes a CVT housing which has an opening formed therein to provide access to a face of the driven pulley, and a plurality of equally spaced bolt receivers arranged in a circle around the opening. The gear assembly includes a gear housing formed separate from the CVT housing. The gear housing has a plurality of bolt holes formed in it which are arranged in a circle and alignable with respective ones of the bolt receivers. The gear housing is selectively rotatable relative to the CVT housing by moving each of the bolt holes from alignment with a first respective one of the bolt receivers and into alignment with a second respective one of the bolt receivers and then installing fasteners therein.

    摘要: A compressed air delivery system in which power from a power supply is transmitted to a rotary air compressor through a dry running, continuous variable transmission (CVT) utilizing a belt coupled between two pulleys enclosed within a CVT housing. The air pressure differential created by the rotary air compressor is used to urge cooling air through the CVT to cool the CVT belt. The pressure differential may be utilized to push cooling air into the CVT housing or to draw cooling air through the CVT housing. In one embodiment, a portion of the compressed air discharged from a supercharger may be routed through a bleed line and into the CVT housing.
