The present invention provides a conductive contact terminal for surface mounting on a substrate. In the conductive contact terminal, an elastic core imparts elasticity to the contact terminal. A metal layer covers the outer portion of the elastic core. A conductive adhesive layer is interposed between the elastic core and the metal layer to bond the elastic core and the metal layer to each other. The conductive contact terminal has a low electrical resistance, does not exhibit a deformation in the material even in a high-temperature reflow soldering process, and does not lose conductivity even though a metal layer, which imparts electrical conductivity to the conductive contact terminal, is broken.

A system and method for providing web service for smart objects are provided. The system includes a smart object and a repeater. The smart object receives a web service request for the smart object from a service-requesting user, and transmits a message including information on a web server associated with the web service request to a repeater. The repeater receives the message including the information on the web server associated with the web service request from the smart object, transfers the web service request to the web server and, when a response for the request is received from the web server, transfers the response to the service-requesting user. Accordingly, the present invention can provide a web service to independent of n insufficient memory capacity of a smart object and a limited network.

The fast mode-searching apparatus includes a probability information obtaining unit, a first inter mode searching unit, a second inter mode searching unit, and a selective intra mode searching unit. The probability information obtaining unit detects whether at least one of a macroblock of a previous frame, a macroblock of a current frame, and adjacent macroblocks corresponds to at least one of P16×16, P16×8, and P8×16. The first inter mode searching unit performs an inter mode search on a block that is not detected by the probability information obtaining unit. The second inter mode searching unit determines whether the macroblock of the current frame corresponds to P16×16 as a result of performing the inter mode search on a block detected by the probability information obtaining unit. The selective intra mode searching unit performs an intra mode search if the macroblock of the current frame corresponds to P16×16.

The moving picture encoding method includes the steps of: setting the lowest one of rate-distortion costs of macroblocks adjacent to a macroblock to be encoded as a threshold value; setting the lowest one of mode-specific distortion costs obtained by inter prediction for the macroblock to be encoded as an optimum inter mode distortion cost; comparing the threshold value with the optimum inter mode distortion cost; and when the threshold value is larger than the optimum inter mode distortion cost, as a result of the comparison, skipping intra prediction and setting a mode having the optimum inter mode distortion cost as a final encoding mode.

A fast motion estimation apparatus and method in which motion estimation is carried out on a current block of a current frame of video image data with reference to a corresponding matching block of a previous frame are provided. The fast motion estimation apparatus includes: a determination unit which determines whether an SAD between pixel values of a current block of a current frame and a corresponding matching block of a previous frame is greater than a predefined threshold; an initial search unit which performs an initial search when the SAD is greater than the predetermined threshold to find which search point of a current search pattern is the minimal SAD point and to determine whether the minimal SAD point matches the center of the current search pattern; and a repetitive search unit which performs an iteration search when the minimal SAD point differs from the center of the current search pattern to reset the minimal SAD point to be a center of the current search pattern and to set a number of search points and the size of a search pattern based on from current search pattern to a center of the search window of the previous frame.
