摘要: High electron mobility heterojunction semiconductor devices provided with a means to cause exposure of the electron source layer thereof to an electromagnetic wave allows modulation, adjustment and the like of the characteristics thereof even after completion of the production thereof, thus realizing a considerable magnitude of flexibility in the characteristics as well as considerably different modes in various embodiments, including field effect transistors which allow modulation of threshold voltage etc., connection channels or capacitors having a smaller resistance, programmable memory devices, image sensors. In addition, the high electron mobility heterojunction semiconductor devices can have a much higher operation speed than those available in the prior art.

摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus comprises a recording head having in a surface thereof ink discharge openings for discharging ink and a first cleaning member disposed at a non-recording area offset from a recording area and opposed to the recording head for removing foreign matter including ink by scrubbing the surface. A second cleaning member is disposed at a side area of the recording head for scrubbingly cleaning foreign matter including ink adhered to said first cleaning member. The second cleaning member has an introducing path into which is introduced the foreign matter including ink adhered to the first cleaning member and an absorbing member disposed at an end portion of the introducing path for collecting the foreign matter including ink introduced into the introducing path from the first cleaning member. In the apparatus different color inks are cleaned by the first cleaning member in the order of a lighter ink to a darker ink color.

摘要: A semiconductor device with a FET utilizing a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG), including a substrate, a first semiconductor layer (an undoped GaAs layer) formed on the substrate by an MBE method, a second semiconductor layer (an n-type AlGaAs layer) formed on the first layer by an MBE method, a source electrode and a drain electrode formed on the second layer and having alloyed regions, and a gate electrode formed on the second layer. To decrease the contact resistance between the alloyed regions and the 2DEG layer in the first layer, impurity doped regions are formed in the first layer under the source electrode and the drain electrode by an ion-implantation method, prior to the formation of the second layer. Further, an internal conductive line or resistor can be formed by doping impurities into the first layer by an ion-implantation method prior to the formation of the second layer.

摘要: An ink jet recorder is provided with a recovery device for preventing unsatisfactory ink discharge of a recording head, the recovery device being provided with ink suction means having a cap covering an ink discharge port, a vent valve for opening and closing the interior of the cap with respect to the atmosphere and a suction pump for producing a negative pressure in the cap, and wiping means having a cleaning blade adapted to be advanced and retracted relative to the ink discharge port. The cleaning blade is protruded when a motor effecting the sequence operation of the ink suction means revolves in one direction, and is stopped at its retracted position when the motor revolves in the opposite drection. A method of operating such ink jet recorder is characterized by operating the recovery device in one cycle sequence comprising the steps of bringing the cap into intimate contact with the ink discharge port, closing the vent valve, operating the suction pump, opening the vent valve, restoring the suction pump to its initial state, operating the suction pump, restoring the suction pump to its initial state, closing the vent valve, spacing the cap apart from the surface of the ink discharge port, opening the vent valve, and restoring the suction pump to its initial state.

摘要: An exchange center is connected to telephone lines and a telephone and a data transmitter as terminal equipment are connected to the telephone lines. The data transmitter is actuated depending upon the polarity of DC voltage applied to the telephone lines. The telephone line is potentially opened by detecting the current of the telephone during the operation of the data transmitter. The impedance of the telephone line during the opening state is detected whereby the operation of the data transmitter is stopped by inverting the DC voltage applied to the telephone line and the telephone is predominantly communicated through the exchange center over the data transmitter.
