摘要: A composite material is provided which is lightweight, mechanically strong, and excellent in formability and water resistance, and is capable of reducing an environmental burden. A production method of the composite material composed of a natural vegetable fiber and a synthetic polymer includes chemically bonding a molecular chain of the synthetic polymer to a surface of the natural vegetable fiber; kneading the chemically bonded fiber and a synthetic polymer of a type one of identical to and different from the synthetic polymer used in the chemical bonding; and forming the obtained kneaded material into a predetermined shape.

摘要: An infrared light source used in spectrometers including an infrared range, a Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscope (FTIR), etc. The infrared light source is composed of a panel made of sintered silicon nitride plates, a heating element made of metal and embedded in the panel, and a pair of conducting lines for supplying electricity to the heating element. The infrared light is emitted homogeneously from the flat surface of the panel, as compared to a conventional infrared light source using a metal filament in which infrared light is emitted inhomogeneously. It is preferred to form a silicon oxide layer on a surface of the panel to prevent initial change in the infrared emitting characteristic.

摘要: An elevator supervisory system is obtained which is capable of performing the monitoring of image data of a plurality of monitoring of points at the same time point in an elevator, an escalator or a moving walk at low cost and with ease. The system includes a plurality of monitoring cameras 2a through 2f that output pieces of image data 8a through 8f obtained by taking pictures of the plurality of monitoring points, an image data accumulation device 6a that accumulates individual pieces of image data 8a through 8f in a time series manner, and an accumulated image data display device 6, 6c that displays image data in response to monitoring requests 11, 12 from a user. The image data accumulation device 6a outputs a plurality of pieces of monitoring image data 9a through 9c corresponding to the monitoring requests 11, 12 to the accumulated image data display device 6c. The accumulated image data display device 6, 6c displays, in response to the monitoring points 11 and one piece of reproduction start date and time information 12, pieces of image data 10a through 10c of a plurality of monitoring points at the reproduction start date and time while providing synchronization between the individual pieces of data.

摘要: An exhaust gas purifier uses a honeycomb of an electrically non-conductive material, formed with a plurality of longitudinally extending throughholes through which an exhaust gas is adapted to flow. A conductive layer is formed with an electrically conductive material on inner surfaces of parts of the honeycomb, including at least a portion of each end surface of the honeycomb and a selected center portion of the honeycomb longitudinally extending between the end surfaces where the flow rate of the exhaust gas is higher than elsewhere inside the honeycomb.
