摘要: The invention relates to a single-phase induction motor comprising a main winding, an auxiliary winding which is arranged so that an electrical angle of the auxiliary winding is different from that of the main winding, a plurality of driving capacitors which are connected to the auxiliary winding, a relay for controlling on/off of the driving capacitor in response to the driving load, and a rotor having apertures on the gap side of the slots. The invention further relates to a rotor assembling apparatus comprising a bush to which a rotor core assembly is inserted for die-casting, wherein a clearance between said bush and said rotor core assembly is narrower to the extent that said rotor core assembly can be taken out after die casting; and a core band having a clearance between the core band and the bush in the circumferential direction of said bush, said core band is engaged into said bush so that movement in the axis direction is restricted. The present invention can prevent a generation of the electromagnetic noise even during a high-load and high torque operation.

摘要: Although it is known that adiponectin, which is adipose-specific protein, has effects of suppressing the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle, an effect against arteriosclerosis, an effect of inhibiting the activation of monocytes and macrophages and an anti-inflammatory effect, its action on hepatic stellate cells has never been known hitherto. The present invention has elucidated that adiponectin inhibits the actions of TGFB and PDGF on hepatic stellate cells and thereby exerts effects of suppressing hepatic fibrosis and promoting the proliferation of normal hepatocytes.

摘要: An optical modulation method operable in an optical transmission path using an optical fiber, wherein an optical fiber bending region is formed by bending a portion of the optical fiber into a U shape having a predetermined bending width. A bending width set point is set in correspondence with a predetermined inclined portion of a characteristic curve representing a dependency ratio of insertion loss of light propagating in said optical fiber bending region relative to the bending width thereof, said predetermined inclined portion of said characteristic curve being located between a predetermined maximum and minimum portion thereof. Intensity modulation of light propagating in the optical fiber is performed using a signal to be transmitted by adjusting the bending width of the optical fiber bending region in correspondence with the signal to be transmitted with reference to the bending width set point as a center. An optical telephone uses an optical modulator including an optical fiber having a U-shaped bending region and a transducer for vibrating one straight portion of the optical fiber.

摘要: A multilevel symbol timing signal detector is provided, which is used for reliably detecting the symbol timing of a multilevel QAM signal. When an oversampling I signal is inputted to I-Signal Histogram Generator 610, the signal is subjected to 1-symbol length buffering by computing absolute values. Sampling times corresponding to an oversampling frequency and amplitude data for these times are extracted from the buffered data and the amplitude data is buffered for each sampling time over predetermined intervals. Histograms of the amplitude data for each sampling time are generated based on these buffered amplitude data. Symbol timing is acquired by detecting a sampling time corresponding to the amplitude data with the highest frequency of detection based on the histograms of amplitude data.

摘要: Disclosed is a flavonoid bioabsorption-promoting composition or food/beverage which can improve the bioabsorption of quercetin or other flavonoids having antioxidant effect and is effective for the prevention of various diseases. It is found that ingestion of apple pectin can improve the bioabsorption of quercetin and other flavonoids and shows higher physiological activity. Based on this finding, a flavonoid bioabsorption-promoting composition or food/beverage can be provided, which contains apple pectin as an active ingredient and therefore can improve the bioabsorbability of a flavonoid and show a flavonoid bioabsorption-promoting activity. By using apple pectin or a food additive containing apple pectin, it becomes possible to provide a food or beverage which contains quercetin or other flavonoids, which are popularly ingested and which are classified in to a category of a processed food including a soft drink, supplement, seasoning, confectionery, and a prepared meal.
