    摘要: High molecular weight aromatic polycarbonates having molecular weights M.sub.w (weight average) of between about 10,000 and 200,000, which are based on diphenols and monofunctional chain stoppers, which correspond to the general formula ##STR1## in which Z denotes the radical of a diphenol,n denotes an integer from 20 to 400,E denotes ##STR2## m is 0 or 1 and R denotes a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkyl group, and in which between about 0.5 and 5 mol % of Z are radicals of aromatic dihydroxyketones. These polycarbonates share mechanical and thermal properties with known polycarbonates but in addition are suitable for crosslinking, for example in the presence of photoinitiators and optionally photo-reducing agents and under irradiation with UV light. When crosslinked they are resistant to organic solvents and insensitive to stress-cracking, and have particularly good flame-repellent properties when additionally incorporating flameproofing agents.

    摘要: The present invention relates to high-molecular weight aromatic polycarbonates, based on diphenols and monofunctional chain stoppers, corresponding to the formula (I) ##STR1## in which Z denotes the radical of a diphenol,n denotes an integer from about 20 to 400,E denotes ##STR2## wherein m denotes 0 or 1 andR denotes H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl.The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the polycarbonates of the formula (I) comprising reacting diphenols of the formula (II)HO--Z--OH (II)whereinZ is a divalent aromatic radical, and/or their chlorocarbonic acid esters in accordance with the processes which are known for the preparation of polycarbonates, in a homogeneous or heterogeneous phase system, with compounds of the formula (III) ##STR3## wherein m denotes 0 or 1 andR denotes H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl.The present invention also relates to a process for cross-linking the polycarbonates of the formula (I) with UV light, after adding a photoinitiator and, optionally, flameproofing and photo-reducing agents. Finally, the present invention relates to the cross-linked polycarbonates obtained via this process.

These materials comprise intimate blends of aromatic high molecular weight polycarbonates and about 0.5 to 50 wt. % of polyphenylene sulphides.     摘要: Thermoplastic molding compositions are provided comprising from about 80 to 98% by weight of a polycarbonate obtained from diphenols, having a mean weight-average molecular weight M.sub.w from about 10,000 to 200,000 and from about 20 to 2% by weight of a polyester-carbonate and/or polyether-carbonate with mean weight-average molecular weights M.sub.w of from about 50,000 to 300,000, which contain between about 50 and 70% by weight of soft polyester segments or soft polyether segments with mean number-average molecular weights M.sub.n of from about 10,000 to 20,000. The instant invention also relates to a process for the production of said thermoplastic molding compositions. These thermoplastic molding compositions show markedly improved resilience properties compared with known polycarbonates and can be employed as films and shaped articles in all cases where, on the one hand, high notched impact strength at low temperatures, high toughness properties at relatively high wall thicknesses, and transparency are required.
