摘要： The invention relates to thermoplastic polycarbonate molding compositions which are rendered resistant to gamma-radiation by incorporating therewith about 0.1 to about 10 percent by weight of a stabilizing agent conforming to ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 denotes a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, R.sub.2 denotes a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.30 alkyl or acyl radical, silyl or pyranyl where said alkyl and acyl radicals may be either branched or linear, n is an integer of from 0 to 70, p is 0 or 1 and m is 1 to 4.

摘要： A thermoplastic molding composition is disclosed which contains a homogeneous blend of a polycarbonate resin, a graft-modified olefin rubber and, a particular flame retardant package containing a salt, halogenated phthalimine, polytetrafluoroethylene and an oligomeric carbonate. The composition was found to be suitable for preparing molded articles having an excellent level of flame resistance and impact properties.

摘要： A pigmented thermoplastic molding composition is disclosed comprising(i) about 90 to 98 percent of an aromatic polycarbonate,(ii) about 1 to 9 percent of ABS, and(iii) about 1 to 9 percent of a grafted olefinic copolymer which is a graft polymer of one or more unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or the anhydride of said acid on an olefinic copolymer backbone.The composition is noted to have good mechanical properties and the articles molded therefrom have good cosmetics.

摘要： The invention relates to thermoplastic molding compositions comprising a polycarbonate resin which is rendered resistant to gamma radiation induced yellowing. It was surprisingly found that the incorporation in the resin of an effective amount of benzylic alcohol or its derivatized versions renders the composition resistant to yellowing. The composition of the invention is suitable for the preparation of molded articles having improved resistance to yellowing and to the formation of haze induced upon exposure to gamma radiation.

摘要： A monoester derived from guerbet alcohol and a monocarboxylic acid or a hydroxy carboxylic acid was found to be an effective mold release agent for a thermoplastic molding composition which comprise an aromatic polycarbonate resin. The alcohol of the invention is a guerbet alcohol having about 20 to 60 carbon atoms and the monoacid is characterized in that it has about 1 to 22 carbon atoms.

摘要： The invention relates to thermoplastic polycarbonate molding compositions comprising a polycarbonate resin and a stabilizing agent conforming to ##STR1## where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently are ##STR2## R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, a branched or linear C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 cycloalkyl, and R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 independently are a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, x is an integer of about 1 to 70,y is an integer of about 0 to 70,R.sub.4 is C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 alkyl or cycloalkyl, C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 aryl or C.sub.7 -C.sub.20 alkylaryl or cycloalkylaryl. The agent is homogenically distributed throughout the resin and is present in an amount sufficient to improve the gamma radiation resistance of the composition.
