摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for self-treatment of diabetes. The apparatus is particularly advantageous by comprising a plurality of devices each of which has its own dedicated function corresponding to a number of acts which a diabetic must perform on himself. The individual devices are mutually interconnectible, and the combination comprises at least a body fluid analyser and a dosing apparatus for administering a predetermined dose of insulin to the patient. Each of the devices may be provided in several sizes so that the user himself may combine the relevant devices of the relevant size with respect to the current need. This reduces the risk of forgetting parts of the equipment, and the confidence of using the equipment is enhanced because it is evident to the user that it is a complete apparatus consisting of unified parts.

摘要: Described is an electronic injection device wherein an electronic circuit is designed to work in two alternative modes: an air shot mode and a dose injection mode. When working in the air shot mode a small predetermined air shot dose is pressed out from the ampule when the injection button is actuated. When working in the injection mode, a dose set by operation of the dose setting means is injected by operation of the injection button. The electronic injection device is normally working in the air shot mode but shifts to work in the dose injection mode when it receives a signal indicating that the dose setting means has been operated. The circuit returns to its air shot mode when receiving a signal indicating that the set dose has been injected. This signal can originate either from a switch indicating that the protection cap is mounted or from a switch indicating that the injection button has been pressed.

摘要: A trough is disclosed for supplying piglets with mineral supplements in the suckling period. The trough is designed to awaken the piglets' curiosity and thus make them root in the bottom of the trough, where the mineral supplements are dispensed in form of a dry powder mixture, and thus reduce spillage as compared to placing the mineral supplements on the floor of the pen. During the pre-weaning of the piglets the trough can be converted to serve as a normal trough for solid feed.

摘要: A medication delivery device comprising a system that is able to sense if the delivery device is in actual physical contact with a human being or if the delivery device has been abandoned. The system comprises an electronic control and a touch sensitive switch preferably formed as a part of the housing of the medication delivery device. The housing can be divided into two parts each constituting separate electrical conductors being spaced apart from each other by an insulating material. When the two parts a temporarily bridged e.g. by the skin of a human being a direct current path between the parts are created, which can provide an electrical signal at the electronic control. When a dose has been set, absence of the signal will cause the electronic control to cancel the set dose and to sound an alarm.

摘要: In a displacement system for controlled infusion of a liquid from a cartridge comprising a tubular vessel (1), which is at a rear end closed by a piston (3) which may be forced by a piston rod (8) moving into the vessel (1) in the axial direction thereof to press out the liquid through an outlet (2) arranged at a front end of the vessel (1), the piston rod (8) is provided as a flexible incompressible construction which is by a piston rod guide (9) behind the rear end of the cartridge deflected away from the axis of this cartridge, preferably 180.degree.. The piston rod guide (9) has a guiding track comprising a curved part and linear parts at each end of the curved part ensuring that the piston rod is guided along a length (a) in the direction of the axis of the cartridge which length (a) is longer than the distance (b) between the two axes of the piston rod parts projecting from the piston rod guide. The guiding track is further elaborated to the very shape which the curved part of the piston rod will spontaneously adopt when its end portions are kept parallel.
