摘要： A process variable transmitter connects a serial bus to an accessory load. A supply limiter circuit provides a first supply current limit and provides a stored energy output. A recessive driver circuit draws a drive current from the stored energy output and couples the drive current to the serial bus. The recessive driver circuit provides a drive current limit. A dominant driver circuit has a dominant state in which it conducts the drive current, and an inactive state in which the drive current is available to the accessory load.

摘要： A modular process transmitter having a scalable EMI/RFI filtering architecture includes a unitized sensor module and a transmitter module. The unitized sensor module is adapted to operate as a stand-alone process transmitter. The transmitter module can couple to the unitized sensor module to expand the capabilities of the unitized sensor module. The unitized sensor module includes a sensor housing, a sensor circuit and a removable sensor EMI/RFI filtering circuit. The sensor circuit provides a sensor output in accordance with either a local format or a first communication protocol. The sensor EMI/RFI filtering circuit filters noise in accordance with the first communication protocol. The transmitter module includes a transmitter module housing, a communications circuit, and a transmitter module EMI/RFI filtering circuit. The communications circuit is adapted to receive the sensor output from the sensor circuit in the local format and generate a scalable output in accordance with a second communication protocol. The transmitter module EMI/RFI filtering circuit is adapted to replace the sensor EMI/RFI filtering circuit and filter noise in accordance with the second communication protocol.

The device includes wireless process field device electronics disposed within the industrial process field device and at least one battery cell disposed within the industrial process field device and operably coupled to the wireless process field device electronics. A circuit is provided that senses an electrical characteristic related to the at least one cell and provides an output to a switch to decouple the at least one cell from the industrial process field device electronics in response to certain conditions. Such conditions include too much current flowing from the at least one cell; the voltage of the at least one cell being too low; or a short circuit being generated or otherwise observed.

摘要： A pressure sensor module and method for pre-installation without a converter module. The pressure sensor module is hermetically sealed and can remain undamaged in an installation environment without a converter module. The pressure sensor module can be assembled later with a converter module in the installation environment. The pressure sensor module includes an isolator, a pressure sensor and a circuit that provides a bus for energization, control and a digital pressure output. The bus is connected to contacts in an insulating feedthrough. An integrally formed hermetic external support structure surrounds the pressure sensor and circuit. The hermetic external support structure has a threaded process fluid inlet around the isolator, and a threaded support sleeve supporting the feedthrough.

摘要： In a facsimile receiver, a copy medium is advanced between a platen of triangular cross-section and a plurality of stylii mounted on a moving belt. The platen is rotatable so as to allow different edges of the platen at the apices of the triangular cross-section to be placed in contact with the copy medium. In addition, the platen may be rotated to a position where a flat side of the platen is juxtaposed to the copy medium so as to allow the copy medium to be fed between the stylii and the platen during loading and unloading. The stylii are formed from sheet-like members with a broad surface in contact with the copy medium. Three such stylii are mounted on a sheet metal belt through which the stylii are electrically energized as the belt moves.

摘要： A facsimile transceiver comprising a document/copy receiving drum, a motor for rotation of the drum about the drum axis and a read/write head mounted for linear movement in a direction parallel with the drum axis. When the transceiver is operating in the receive mode, the copy medium having adhesive along at least one edge circumscribes the drum in a closed loop so as to eliminate the necessity for transmitter-receiver angular synchronizing signals which would otherwise be required for locating the copy margin adjacent the edge of the copy paper. After completion of a transmission, the copy medium is severed along a line so as to provide an appropriate margin for the copied information content. The copy medium may comprise a magazine having a plurality of sheets of a copy medium which form individual closed loops where one edge of each sheet overlaps with and is attached to the opposite edge of the sheet. Tear strings may be provided for shearing the copy paper loop so as to provide an appropriate margin for the copy.
