摘要: An anchor bolt device includes an anchor bolt having a threaded first end and a second end. A flange portion has the threaded first end of the anchor bolt extending freely therefrom. The flange portion defines a planar surface aligned in parallel with a surface of a concrete foundation when the second end of the anchor bolt is received in the concrete foundation. A raised column projection having a threaded portion through which the threaded first end of the anchor bolt is threadably received. The raised column projection is set to a user defined position. The flange portion extends radially outward from and is integrally connected to the raised column projection. The flange portion has at least one offset tab used to position the device a defined distance away from a boundary of a concrete foundation wall. The offset tab includes a series of marks defining multiple break points.

摘要: A system for constructing a residential or commercial structure and/or retrofitting an existing structure provides a series of construction components employed that cooperate with standard construction materials to enhance the building structural integrity when subjected to destructive wind forces such as those commonly associated with hurricanes and tornados. The resultant strength of the structure is increased beyond what the standard construction materials were capable of on their own. The enhanced components further cooperate with standard construction materials to provide a secondary water sealing ability such that the typical veneer coverings of siding and/or shingles, which are typically required to provide a primary sealing system from water influent to the structure, are relegated to the role of cosmetics for the structure. The primary sealing ability of the shingles and/or the siding can be compromised in response to storm winds, yet the structure will remain watertight via the secondary sealing system.

摘要: A structure anti-torsion device includes a structural column. The structural column is positioned between adjacent studs of a structural stud wall construction and oriented vertically between the studs. A structural column lower end is fastened to a lower base plate which rests on a wall construction bottom plate. A pair of anchor bolts secured to a foundation extends through the bottom plate and the lower base plate and are fastened to the lower base plate. A structural column upper end is bolted using first and second bolts to an upper base plate. The first and second bolts cooperate through the upper base plate to connect the upper base plate to a double top plate of the wall construction such that the double top plate is connected by the upper base plate, the structural column, and the lower base plate to the foundation.

摘要: A roof member anti-torsion bracket device includes a base plate that is adapted to sit on a top plate of a wall construction and to receive a truss assembly. At least one transverse planar surface is oriented substantially transverse to the base plate. A locating tab extending longitudinally with respect to the base plate abuts an edge of the top plate, thereby locating the anti-torsion bracket device an offset distance from the edge of the wall construction top plate. The base plate further includes first and second fastening openings oppositely located with respect to the at least one transverse planar surface. The first and second fastening openings define first and second fastening positions in the base plate, thereby providing torsion resistance, compressive load support, and tension lifting resistance for the base plate.

摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for configuring a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader using an RFID tag are described. A RFID tag is read by the reader to obtain reader configuration information from the RFID tag. A registry of the reader is modified to include the reader configuration information. A management system is communicated with by the reader, based on information obtained by the reader in the reader configuration information. The reader is thereby configured for operation.

摘要: An apparatus for transporting racks of sealed sample tubes, mixing a sample material contained within the tubes, and aspirating samples from the tubes. The apparatus includes a car which runs along a rail. The car drives racks containing the sample tubes into a mixer channel disposed above and running parallel to the rail. The mixer channel is mounted to rotate about an axis parallel to the rail to mix samples and position the tubes to be aspirated. A push pin mounted adjacent to the mixer channel extends into the mixer channel and urges individual tubes against an aspirator assembly mounted on the opposite side of the mixer channel. An input queue is disposed proximate the input side of the rail and an output queue disposed proximate the output side of rail. The input queue supports the racks and feeds them into position to be driven by the car mechanism into the mixer channel. The output queue receives racks after being aspirated and feeds them aft to make room for subsequent racks driven by the car from the mixer channel. The racks include a lateral front wall, a lateral rear wall and a horizontal bottom wall connecting the front wall to the back wall. The racks also include a plurality of vertical side walls connected to the front wall and the back wall to define a plurality of tube receptacles. The bottom wall includes a plurality of equidistantly spaced apertures, each of which is centrally located within a tube receptacle to provide the push pin access to the tubes. The bottom wall also includes a plurality of ribs extending from the front wall to the back wall to be engaged by the car. Biasing means are disposed within each of the tube receptacles to support sample tubes therein.
