    摘要: A moving picture expert group 2(MPEG-2) encoder pre-processor for processing split picture video of standard definition (SDTV) and high definition television (HDTV). The MPEG-2 encoder pre-processor includes signal separation and synchronizing signal detector, multiplexor, and video processor. The pre-processor is capable of processing both of SDTV video and HDTV split picture video by performing the processes such as 4:2:2/4:2:0 conversion, pre-processing adaptive filtering and scene change detection, so as to simplify the compression of the video from the input video signals. Accordingly, there is no need to develop pre-processors for SDTV and HDTV, individually.

    摘要: In a method and an apparatus for adjusting a pitch of a buffer tray for receiving semiconductor devices, the buffer tray includes a plurality of pairs of unit buffer trays to receive the semiconductor devices. A first pitch between the pairs of unit buffer trays is adjusted by a first driving section. A second pitch between first unit buffer trays and second unit buffer trays in the pairs is adjusted by a second driving section. The semiconductor devices are transferred between a test tray and a customer tray via the buffer tray having the adjusted pitch in a test handler. Accordingly, the time required to transfer the semiconductor devices may be shortened.

    摘要: A method is provided for fabricating microelectrodes and microelectrode arrays by etching in an acid solution. Glass wafers are diced into a desired shape to form narrow probes, which are immersed in the acid solution. An organic layer on top of the acid solution forms a meniscus at the point of contact with the probes, and the taper angle on the etched probes will depend on this meniscus angle. After etching, the tapered probes are coated with a conductive layer, followed by an insulating layer over most of their length so as to leave a small conductive area exposed at the tip. The glass wafer containing the probes is then mounted on a printed circuit board carrier.
