    摘要: A drill improving the aligning accuracy of an insert and achieves a stable machining operation while maintaining the strength of the drill main body. The drill includes a drill main body rotatable about an axis, and a throwaway insert detachably attached to the drill main body. The drill main body includes a concave groove opening at a distal end face thereof, the concave groove includes guiding grooves extending in the direction of the axis on an inner surface thereof, the throwaway insert includes convex portions on an outer surface that are engageable with the guiding grooves, and the concave groove is formed so as to accommodate the throwaway insert. The throwaway insert is attached to the drill main body by insertion into the concave groove in a direction from the distal end face to the concave groove while engaging the convex portions with the guiding grooves.

    摘要: A throw-away tip for use in drilling work that has a convexly curved cutting edge portion at one end side of a cutting edge is provided. Chips are prevented from being sheared and packed, and cutting edge strength is secured to extend the service life of the tip. The tip is used with a drilling tool having a tool body rotatable about an axis and has a convexly curved surface formed on a rake face thereof on the one end side of the cutting edge, which forms a curve toward a seat face thereof as it proceeds toward the one end side of the cutting edge. The convexly curved cutting edge portion is formed at the side ridge of the convexly curved surface coinciding with the cutting edge and forms a substantially arc shape projecting in the direction of rotation of the tool when the tip body is viewed from the distal end side in the direction of the axis of the tool body, or when the tip body is viewed in a direction from closer to the other end of the cutting edge toward the inner periphery of the rear end of the tool. A throw-away tip is also provided which provides a stabilized cutting behavior and a reduced cutting force. A throw-away drilling tool is also provided that uses the above throw-away tip.

A peripheral cutting edge is formed at a ridge of an inclined surface on the outside in the diameter direction of the tool body, a bevel edge is formed at a ridge on the front side of the tool body, and a back taper is attached to the peripheral cutting edge. A pressing member for pressing the pressed surface of the insert to adjust a position of the peripheral cutting edge in the diameter direction of the tool body is disposed on the rear side of the attachment seat in the tool rotation direction.

In the throw-away tip, cutting edges are formed at intersecting ridgeline parts between a pair of oppositely disposed long side faces of a substantially trapezoidal flat-plate-shaped tip body, and upper and lower faces of the tip body. A thickness direction of the tip body is approximately aligned with a radial direction of the cutter body to provide curved edges formed in acute corner parts of the tip body for cutting. The tip is mounted on a second tip mounting seat of the pin mirror cutter such that the thickness direction of the tip body is approximately aligned with an axial direction of the cutter body to provide curved edges formed in obtuse corner parts of the tip body for cutting.

In the throw-away tip, cutting edges are formed at intersecting ridgeline parts between a pair of oppositely disposed long side faces of a substantially trapezoidal flat-plate-shaped tip body, and upper and lower faces of the tip body. A side surface facing the front side in the tool rotation direction provides an inclined surface, and a peripheral cutting edge is formed at a ridge portion outside of the inclined surface in the diameter direction of the tool.

    摘要: In a throw-away tipped drill, a slit is formed at the bottom surface of a tip attachment seat which faces towards the end of its axial line direction, with this slit extending towards the rear of the axial line direction. Furthermore, when seen from the end of the axial line direction, this slit is arranged as being displaced so as to be closer to a second end portion into which a shaft portion of a clamp bolt is threaded than to a first end portion which is pressed by a head portion of that clamp bolt. As a result, when, using the clamp bolt, the pair of outer side surfaces of the tip are pressed by the pair of internal side surfaces of the tip attachment seat, the pressing forces are mutually equal to one another.
