    Abstract: According to some embodiments there is provided a device configured for releasing at least one substance from source material, comprising: a housing; a plurality of source material sections positioned at fixed locations with respect to the housing; a plurality of airflow paths, each airflow path associated with at least one source material section; each airflow path associated with at least one blocking element which prevents flow of air through the path; and an actuator operably coupled to the blocking element, the actuator configured for unblocking the airflow path of at least one selected source material section to allow flow of air to and through source material within the selected section.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing and/or using information collected from a plurality of users in conjunction with the use of delivery devices for active agents are described. In some embodiments, the delivery device comprises an inhaler device. In some embodiments, the information collecting comprises “crowd sourcing”, including collection of inputs from any one or more of a potentially wide variety of user-side data sources. In some embodiments, input collected from a plurality of users in a user population is used to adjust one or regimens for delivery of active agents to individual users. Optionally, regimen effect information comprising reports and/or pharmaceutical effect predictions is provided to individual users based on inputs collected from a plurality of users.

    Abstract: There is provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a device and a method for controlled extraction of at least one active substance from at least one type of plant matter by application of heat, the device comprising: a heating element adapted to apply heat to an area of the plant matter to extract the substance; and a mechanism adapted for moving the plant matter relative to the heating element.     Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention relate to a system for delivering to a subject at least one pre-determined amount of THC, the system comprising: a memory which stores a scheduled regimen for delivery of THC to the subject, the scheduled regimen defining: a maximal amount of THC to be delivered, the amount being 0.75 mg THC or less, and a time period within which that amount is delivered, the time period being 2 hours or longer; a decision module which decides, according to the scheduled regimen, if a delivery should take place; and an inhaler device for delivering THC to the subject, the inhaler device comprising a controller which carries out delivery of THC based on the decision made by the decision module.
