摘要: Methods and apparatus for providing a Random Access procedure used by a communications device and an access node, for example the UE (user equipment) and eNodeB (the LTE radio basestation) in an LTE network, to e.g. establish a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection. An example of a method according to the invention for use in an access node comprises: receiving (42) signals comprising multiple instances of an uplink Random Access message; spatially resolving (44) the received signals to identify (46) directions from which the uplink Random Access message was received; and transmitting (48) distinct downlink Random Access messages in the identified directions from which the uplink Random Access message was received.

摘要: A network node, a wireless device and methods performed thereby for use in a Random Access, RA, procedure with wireless devices in a cell of the network node are provided. The method includes receiving, from at least two wireless devices, a RA message comprising an RA preamble; transmitting an RA Response, RAR, to the at least two wireless devices, the RAR comprising a TC-RNTI and an RA preamble identifier identifying the received RA preamble; and receiving, from each of said at least two wireless devices, a connection request message comprising a respective S-TMSI. The method includes for a wireless device previously connected to the network node in the same cell, transmitting a connection setup message addressed to a C-RNTI previously assigned to the wireless device; and for a wireless device not previously connected to the network node in the same cell, transmitting, a connection setup message addressed to the TC-RNTI.

摘要: In accordance with certain embodiments, there is disclosed herein a method for decoding a received message. The method comprises determining one or more non-reserved group IDs associated with a first wireless device. The method additionally includes participating in a communication session based on a first group ID of the one or more non-reserved group IDs associated with the first wireless device. The method further includes receiving a first message from a second wireless device. The first message comprises a second group ID. The second group ID is not among the one or more non-reserved group IDs associated to with the first wireless device. The method also comprises determining the second group ID is a reserved group ID. The method additional comprises decoding the first message based on the second group ID.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to coordinating the pilot sequences that are used by several wireless devices being served by one or more network nodes. In particular it relates to coordinating pilot signals used by adjacent cells or by cells within a limited area. The disclosure also relates to a pilot coordination unit, to a network node, to a wireless device and to corresponding methods and computer programs. The disclosure proposes a method performed in a pilot coordination unit (120) in a communication system, for coordinating pilot sequences used by several wireless devices (10a, 10b) served by one or more network nodes (110a, 110b). The method comprises obtaining (S12), estimated angles of arrival, of the wireless devices (10a, 10b), in the corresponding serving network nodes (110a, 110b). The method further comprises allocating (S14) pilot sequences, to be used by the wireless devices (10a, 10b) based on the obtained estimated angles of arrival. The method also comprises providing (S15) information to the wireless devices about the respective allocated pilot sequence.
