Abstract: A wearable objective pain measuring device includes a headband configured to be worn by a user on the user's head. The device includes one or more sensors in the headband, including one or more of: a sweep impedance profiling sensor to collect data reflective of activity of corrugator supercilia during a pain session; an electromyography sensor to collect data signals from a brain that reflects pain perception; a photoplethysmogram sensor configured to collect data regarding changes in hear rate and heart rate variability due to pain state; or a galvanic skin response sensor configured to collect data related to changes in sweat gland and skin conductance due to a pain state. The device includes a pain quantification pipeline to objectively quantify pain based on data from the one or more sensors. The device includes an output device configured to output an objective pain quantification based on quantifying pain.

Abstract: An endoscope/triplescope (combined gastroscope, bronchoscope, laryngoscope) device and/or system includes an endoscope having an outer diameter of less than about 4.0 millimeters, in particular less than about 3.5 millimeters, that allows high resolution viewing having a distal element including an optical element that allows four way tip deflection. Further, the device may include a scope stiffening apparatus to minimize the endoscopes flexibility when needed, a foot and hand activation to allow air/water insufflation and image/video capture, a light source, an interior conduit having a diameter greater than about 2 mm, one or more sensor arrays, audio elements for transcription of report, sensors to measure body cavity findings.

Abstract: TNE provides the opportunity to make the care of children with EoE and other gastrointestinal or aerodigestive conditions safer, more efficient, and less costly while simultaneously advancing our understanding of the pathophysiology and natural course of this condition. A pediatric endoscope was developed to facilitate TNE in children with EoE. The pediatric endoscope (combined gastroscope, bronchoscope, laryngoscope) includes a 3-4 mm flexible, fiber optic endoscope that allows HD TV viewing with the head of a pediatric bronchoscope that allows four way tip deflection, a scope stiffening apparatus to minimize the endoscopes flexibility when needed, a foot and hand activation to allow air/water insufflation and image/video capture, a light source, 2 mm biopsy channel.

Abstract: A computer system for intra-ear sensing and stimulating receives, health data, from an earbud sensor. The system repeatedly calculates an exponential moving average (EMA) of a moving window for the received health data. The system compares each calculated exponential moving average with a lower threshold value and an upper threshold value. The upper threshold value and the lower threshold value are determined based, at least in part, upon a saturation level associated within an amplifier performing the adaptive gain control. When the calculated exponential moving average is larger than the upper threshold, the system decreases a gain associated with the amplifier. When the calculated exponential moving average is smaller than the lower threshold, the system increases a gain associated with the amplifier.

Abstract: A physiological information detection system may include an add-on device in electronic communication with a computing device. The add-on device includes a body and a first light filter retained in the body. The first light filter filters light emitted by the light source of the computing device. A lens is also retained in the body proximate the first light filter. The lens directs light exiting the first light filter out a surface of the first lens. The body retains a second lens that receives into a surface of the second lens light exiting the first lens. The surface of the first lens and the surface of the second lens are substantially coplanar. A second light filter is also retained in the body proximate the second lens. The sensor detects the light exiting the second light filter.
