    Abstract: A vehicle includes: an electric motor; a storage battery configured to supply electric power to the electric motor and be charged with electric power from an external power source; an internal combustion engine configured to rotate the electric motor; and a controller configured to perform an electric power generation control and a prohibition control, the internal combustion engine being prohibited in a case where the vehicle is positioned in a predetermined region, wherein the electric power stored in the storage battery is suppliable to an outside, and the controller is configured to permit driving of the internal combustion engine even in the predetermined region in a case where a supply of electric power is insufficient for an electric power demand in the predetermined region or in a case where the supply of the electric power is predicted to be insufficient for the electric power demand in the predetermined region.

    Abstract: A non-transitory storage medium for use in an information processing device in a vehicle control system. The storage medium stores: pieces of positional information; pieces of cumulative relative frequency distribution information associated with individual vehicle traveling directions, the pieces of cumulative relative frequency distribution information being related to data on traveling loads associated with the individual vehicle traveling directions on a plurality of vehicles having traveled through points indicated by the pieces of positional information, or data on traveling load amounts depending on a traveling time or a traveling distance from the points; and instructions that are executable by processors to perform functions comprising calculating a predicted value of the traveling load amount depending on the traveling time or the traveling distance from an arbitrary point based on the cumulative relative frequency distribution information associated with individual vehicle traveling directions at the arbitrary point.

    Abstract: A ridesharing management system which enables a plurality of users using a ridesharing service to share a vehicle as passengers, wherein the vehicle is comprised of a hybrid vehicle, and a boundary is established between the inside of an engine restricted zone in which operation of an internal combustion engine is restricted and the outside of the engine restricted zone. It is predicted whether the SOC amount of the battery will become less than a setting value during travel in the engine restricted zone if traveling through a stop in the engine restricted zone and a stop outside the engine restricted zone due to a pick-up request or drop-off request from a user. A route order that does not result in the SOC amount of the battery becoming less than the setting value during travel in the engine restricted zone is suggested.

    Abstract: The home position estimation system includes a GNSS receiver, an object detection device for detecting an object in surroundings of the hybrid vehicle, an identifying part configured to identify the object detected by the object detection device, and a position estimating part configured to estimate a position of the hybrid vehicle based on an output of the GNSS receiver. If a predetermined condition is satisfied and the object identified by the identifying part is an object indicating a boundary of a low emission zone which requires that the internal combustion engine be stopped, the position estimating part is configured to judge whether the hybrid vehicle is located within the low emission zone, regardless of the output of the GNSS receiver, based on a result of identification by the identifying part.

    Abstract: A control device of a hybrid vehicle 1, 1′ comprises a driving plan generating part 61 setting a driving mode, an output control part 62 controlling outputs of the internal combustion engine 40 and the motor 16, and a lower limit value setting part 63 setting a lower limit value of a state of charge of the battery. The driving plan generating part divides a plurality of routes into pluralities of sections, and sets driving modes of all sections of at least one route to an EV mode. If an actual state of charge of the battery becomes lower than the lower limit value, the output control part changes the driving mode so that the actual state of charge is maintained or becomes higher. The lower limit value setting part lowers the lower limit value at an EV route, compared with a non-EV route other than the EV route.
