    摘要： A document processing apparatus which permits the sharing of a document element in a document structure while ensuring that any change to the content appears in the document element in each document sharing it. In a document processing apparatus for managing a plurality of documents each containing a plurality of document elements, a document element having content to be shared with a second document is designated from a plurality of document elements of a first document, and the content of the designated document element is defined as the content of a predetermined document element of the second document to be shared as common content by the first and second documents. Further, any document element having shared content is detected from a document when the display of the document is commanded, and is displayed in a distinguishable manner from other portions.

    摘要： In storing data in one file, consisting of a plurality of blocks of data, a first code is generated by converting a password and a predetermined portion of each of the blocks of data. This portion may be, for example, the data block itself or identification information such as a name. The code is stored in correspondence to the stored data. In reading the stored data, a second code is generated by performing the same conversion on the password and the predetermined portion of the stored data. A comparison is made between the generated second code and the first code stored. Failure of the two to match indicates that an improper rewrite has occurred. In such a case, that occurrence may simply be noted, access to the data may be prohibited; more generally, what processing is performed, or is permitted, is varied according to the result of the comparison.

    摘要： An end user is provided with an environment to easily remote-control a video camera via a general network such as the Internet. For this purpose, on a client side, the content of camera control is described in file-transfer protocol description, and the description is transferred to a camera server on the Internet via a browser. The camera server interprets the description, controls a camera in accordance with the designated content, to perform image sensing, and returns the obtained video image as the content of a file to the client. The client performs various controls while observing the video image. When a desired angle has been found, the client instructs to register the angle in a bookmark, then angle information displayed at that time is registered. Thereafter, when the user of the client can see the video image obtained on the same image-sensing conditions by merely select-designating the angle information registered in the bookmark.

    摘要： Re-starting an engine becomes easier by decreasing fuel amount to inject into the cylinder in accordance with the temperature of the engine and the time while the engine stops. The decreasing amount of the fuel is determined in dependency on whether the shut-off relay is ON or OFF, whether the stopping time range is within the predetermined value, or whether the coolant temperature is below the set value or not. The coefficient of the basic fuel injection amount is corrected by referring to the standard value stored in maps. Therefore, there is no occurrence of over-rich of the air-fuel ratio and malfunction of the spark plug, so that the engine can be smoothly restarted in any operating condition.

    摘要： An image forming apparatus comprising an exposure light source, a printer head which comprises a group of micro-shutters each controlling the transmission or interruption of light from the exposure light source, and an image bearing so disposed to be irradiated with light signals transmitted through the printer head. The group of micro-shutters are arranged in a matrix comprising a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. The group of micro-shutters are formed by a substrate having thereon a plurality of segment electrodes each forming a shutter and connected to a drain of a thin film transistor, another substrate having thereon a common electrode, and a liquid crystal interposed between the substrates. The image forming apparatus further comprises means for applying a scanning signal to the gate of the thin film transistor and applying an electric signal corresponding to image information in synchronism with the scanning signal.
