摘要: A collective wiring system for an automobile provides a central control unit which communicates with a plurality of terminal control units each connected to one or more input or output devices, such as switches, sensors, motors and the like. The control over output devices in response to the status of input devices is performed by the central control unit on the basis of tables of data stored in memory. A scan table controls the order in which data communications are made to the terminal control units to obtain their status and provide them with control commands. A monitor table stores the current status of the terminal control units and a control table stores the control data for the terminal control units. A connection table stores the relationship between the terminal control unit for an input device and the terminal control unit for the output device to be controlled thereby. Thus, connection control between input and output devices is effected by software.

摘要: A navigation system for displaying, on a display screen, road map information and running traces of a car superimposed thereon comprises a cathode ray tube for displaying the road map information and information regarding the car running traces and the like, bearing sensors for detecting a running direction of the car, a detector for detecting a running distance of the car by detecting a revolution of the car wheel, and a controller receiving outputs from the bearing sensors and the running distance detector, for computing a current position of the car and selecting road map information corresponding to the current position for display thereof on the cathode ray tube. The controller sets specified circular areas centered on respective crossings on the road map information, detects arrival of the car at an entrance to a specified area, determines an angular difference between an approaching running direction of the car and a destination bearing at the entrance, and gives, on the basis of the determined angular difference, a voice instruction for running of the car at the crossing to the driver.

摘要: A system for supplying power to automotive parts having a rotary component in which a pair of circular coils are disposed in opposition to each other around a rotary shaft of a rotor. One coil is fixed on rotor side, and the other coil is fixed on stator side, thereby forming a DC/DC converter. The rate of magnetic coupling between the coils is constant against the rotation of the coil on rotor side so that stable power is supplied efficiently to devices on rotor side in contactless fashion.

摘要: A microwave alcohol fuel sensor comprises a microwave oscillator, a microwave receiver, and a microwave transmission circuit connected to the oscillator and the receiver. The microwave transmission circuit comprises a dielectric substrate and, a strip line mounted on the substrate so that microwaves leak from the substrate to an alcohol gasoline fuel, and the microwaves attenuate by alcohol dielectric loss, whereby output voltage from the receiver corresponds to alcohol content rate. The dielectric substrate is formed tubular so that a constant amount of the fuel is fed the sensor.

摘要: A centrifugal turbocompressor including an open-type impeller and a casing compresses a gaseous body that condenses into a liquid. The compressor suppresses erosion due to accumulation of a liquid on a casing surface in the compressor. Such accumulation is possible during the starting time of the compressor, if the gaseous body that has come into contact with the casing condenses on the surface of the casing and changes into liquid droplets, centrifugal force may cause the droplets to accumulate on the surface of the casing positioned outside an impeller, and thus to grow into coarser and larger droplets or a liquid film. If the blade tips of the impeller rotating at high speed scrape the droplets or the film upward, erosion of the blade tips is liable to result.

摘要: The amount of water to be injected in an intercooler is controlled to cool the compressed gas to the saturation temperature. It is difficult to adjust the amount of the water to be injected, however, since the temperature of the compressed gas at an intercooler outlet is actually higher than the saturation temperature. An intercooling system is configured so as to cool a gas to the saturation temperature without controlling the amount of water injection and thereby maintain the reliability of the compressor while improving the cooling efficiency. The intercooling system is located between a plurality of compression stages of a gas compressor to cool the gas that has been in the compressor. A desired amount of liquid is sprinkled to cool the compressed gas while restraining inflow of the liquid into the compression stages.
