摘要： The present invention provides a low-cost transflective liquid crystal display exhibiting high color reproducibility in a transmissive display and excellent characteristics (color reproducibility and brightness) in a reflective display. Also, the present invention provides a color filter for a bright transflective liquid crystal display. The transflective liquid crystal display includes a pair of substrates disposed opposite to each other with a liquid crystal layer held therebetween, a reflection means using ambient light as a light source, and a backlight source. The transflective liquid crystal display further includes a color filter having a transmissive region and a reflective region which are provided in each picture element of the color filter and which have colored layers comprising a single material, and a three-peak type LED backlight source.

摘要： In semiconductor production plants a highly clean state is required. In a plant building, through which air is forcibly circulated, a clean room in a low or medium cleanliness state is formed using a filter. A plurality of processing units are provided in the clean room and held in a high cleanliness state. A transport robot transfers a workpiece or like object to and from each processing unit. The robot is capable of being driven to positions corresponding to the processing units and holds the workpiece or object in a highly clean state. Thus, there is no need of holding the entire building highly clean, and only a required part of the building may be held in a highly clean state, which is advantageous from the standpoint of cost.

摘要： The present invention provides a biological treatment method of biologically treating the subject water containing phenol, thiocyanate and the like, which improves the quality of treated water, while suppressing a reduction in treatment efficiency. As a means for achieving the aforementioned object, the present invention relates to a biological treatment method including introducing subject water containing a COD component, wherein the COD component is at least one of phenol and thiocyanate, into a biological treatment tank containing sludge containing bacteria capable of decomposing the COD component to thereby biologically treat the COD component with the bacteria, wherein, before the introduction of the subject water into the biological treatment tank, a step of counting the total number of bacteria contained in the sludge is carried out, so that the amount of the COD component loaded on a single bacterium per unit time can be controlled within a predetermined range.

摘要： A highly reliable online system is disclosed which is provided with a backup computer center (sub-online system) in addition with an original computer center (main online system) in order to improve the reliability of the online system. With respect to the database, the main online system is provided with an original database (main database) while the sub-online system is provided with a backup database (sub-database) which is a duplicate of the main database. The main online system and the sub-online system are connected through a transmission path. Information on an update performed in the main database is transferred to the sub-online system through the transmission path to thereby update the sub-database in a manner similar to the main database. Terminal units are normally connected to the main online system, wherein the main database is updated by transactions inputted from the terminals. When a failure occurs in the main online system, the terminals are changed over to be connected to the sub-online system to allow transaction processing to be continued. Further, there are provided a control system for synchronizing contents between the main database and the sub-database when the original computer center is changed over to the backup computer center, a recovery system for recovering the main database or the sub-database from failures and an integration system for integrating both the main database and the sub-database when they are independently updated due to a failure in the transmission path or the like.
