    摘要: A sinter-joining method for forming a sinter of high quality at low cost and a sintered composite member produced by the sinter-joining method.A tubular copper-base material is forced into a tubular iron-base material and these materials are sintered at temperatures equal to and higher than 600.degree. C. so that the copper-base material expands and pressure-joins to the iron-base material. Then, the materials are sintered at temperatures equal to and higher than 850.degree. C. so that the compactness of the copper-base material is increased. Through these steps, the sintered composite member containing the copper-base material joined to the inside of the iron-base material is obtained.

The ferrous abrasion resistant sliding material has a martensite parent phase which forms a solid solution with carbon of 0.15 to 0.5 wt %, and the martensite parent phase contains one or more types of each special carbide of Cr, Mo, W and V dispersed therein in a total content of 10 to 50% by volume.

    摘要: Quenched layers are formed without irregularities on the inner circumferential surface of a track bushing having a small inside diameter or on the inner circumferential surfaces of two or more track bushings which are subjected to quenching in an overlapped condition. To introduce a cooling medium for cooling the inner circumferential surface of the track bushing, a guide tube having an outside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the track bushing is disposed on the side of the inner circumferential surface and the cooling medium introduced by the guide tube is diverted by a diverting member having a spherical or similar curved surface, such that the cooling medium is allowed to flow in a direction substantially parallel with an axial direction of the track bushing 1 within a space defined by the outer circumferential surface of the guide tube and the inner circumferential surface of the track bushing, thereby performing laminar flow cooling.

    摘要: A contact material which provides improved wear resistance as well as reduced adhesion utilizing the features of an intermetallic compound having an ordered phase, with the intention of (i) improving the seizure resistance and/or wear resistance of an implement bearing which slides under low-speed, high-surface-pressure conditions and is susceptible to lubricant starvation; (ii) preventing abnormal noises; and (iii) achieving prolonged greasing intervals. The contact material contains 10% by volume or more a metallic alloy phase having such a composition range that causes an order-disorder transition. The metallic alloy phase is a Fe base alloy phase containing one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Al, Si, Co and Ni.

    摘要: The pitting resistance of a gear is increased by hardening its tooth flanks through application of carburizing/quenching, bright hardening and induction hardening to a steel material capable of providing significantly improved softening resistance in tempering at a low temperature of 300 to 350° C. To this end, the steel material prepared so as to satisfy the relationship described by: 5≦4.3×Si(wt %)+7.3×Al(wt %)+3.1×V(wt %)+1.5×Mo(wt %)+1.2×Cr(wt %)×(0.45÷C(wt %)) is carburized such that the carbon concentration of its carburized surface layer is adjusted to 0.6 to 0.9 wt %; and the steel material is subjected to quenching and tempering at 300° C. or less subsequently to the carburization process, or alternatively the steel material is once cooled after the carburization process and then subjected to treatments of re-heating hardening and tempering at 300° C. or less so that a hardness of HRC 58 or more is ensured by the tempering process at 300° C.
