摘要： A flat panel display device, such as a liquid crystal panel display device, of large size and a method and apparatus of manufacture of the same. The display device may be provided by discrete or divided display sections. For the manufacture of the panel display device, a pattern for forming picture elements and a drive circuit therefor is photolithographically transferred onto the whole surface of a substrate or base plate in a step-and-repeat manner. In one aspect of the invention, different masks having patterns corresponding to portions of the first-mentioned pattern are used. After the pattern of one of the masks is transferred onto one portion of the substrate, the one mask is replaced by another which the substrate is moved stepwise so that the pattern of the other mask can be transferred onto another portion of the substrate. By repeating the pattern transfer, with different masks, and repeating the stepwise movement of the substrate, the whole of the first-mentioned pattern is transferred onto the whole surface of the substrate with a high resolving power.

摘要： A carbon filament wound hollow cylinder comprising at least two carbon filament layers, an inner axial direction-wound layer and an outer circumferential direction-wound layer, characterized in that the modulus of longitudinal elasticity in the circumferential direction of the inner layer is lower than that of the outer layer. Such a cylinder is capable of preventing possible crack formation after shaping owing to its much reduced residual stress exerted due to thermal expansion of a mandrel during shaping and capable of being stably employable as a rotary drum for, ultracentrifugation because compressive stress is exerted effectively to cancel tensile stress caused by thermal stress for causing interlaminer delamination during high speed rotation.

摘要： A method for forming an undercut portion of a formed article formed by plastically deforming a plate-shaped workpiece and a method for manufacturing a formed article having an undercut portion are provided. In these methods, the undercut portion is formed by press working performed using a punch and a die. These methods make the forming work more economical and more efficient. An outer portion of a plate member 91 (plate-shaped workpiece) located outward of a portion where an inwardly inclined portion 94 (undercut portion) is to be formed is bent by an angle determined such that an undercut surface 94a which constitutes the inwardly inclined portion 94 becomes parallel to the pressing direction of a punch 110. In addition, a peripheral wall portion 93 inclined by an angle corresponding to the bending angle is formed on the outer portion. The bent portion of the plate member 91 having the inclined peripheral wall portion 93 is bent back in the opposite direction so as to cause the inwardly inclined portion 94 to rise up from the surface of the plate member 91.

摘要： A roof structure for an automotive vehicle with a reinforcement for a roof panel is especially applicable for the vehicle having a sun-roof. Longitudinal reinforcement for the roof panel is provided by one or more pressed reinforcement ribs formed in the roof panel and extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Each reinforcement rib has a front end located near the rear lateral edge of the sun-roof. A stiffener extends perpendicular to the axis of the reinforcement ribs and lies across the front ends of the reinforcement ribs for reinforcing the front ends at which bending stresses tend to concentrate.
