摘要: A molten metal pouring nozzle for a continuous casting machine having an endless-travelling type mold, wherein the endless-travelling type mold is formed with two pairs of opposing wall members endlessly travelling in the same direction and at the same speed, and one end of the pouring nozzle is connected to a tundish for receiving molten metal, and the other end of the pouring nozzle is inserted into the mold. The molten metal pouring nozzle of the present invention comprises a nozzle body made of a refractory and a flow regulator made of a refractory. The nozzle body (14, 20) has a bore (1a, 3a), through which molten metal flows, along the axial line thereof, and the sectional area of the downstream end portion of the bore (1a, 3a) becomes gradually larger toward the downstream end thereof. The flow regulator (15, 18) is arranged at the center of the downstream end portion of the bore (1a, 3a) of the nozzle body (14, 20). The flow regulator (15, 18) forms, in cooperation with the bore (1a, 3a), a path for molten metal, by which molten metal flowing through the bore (1a, 3a) impinges against the inner surface of the mold, near the downstream end of the nozzle body (14, 20).

摘要: The method for controlling flow pattern of molten steel in continuous casting, comprises the steps of: (a) continuously casting a molten steel injected through an immersion nozzle; (b) measuring temperatures of a copper plate on longer side of the mold in width direction thereof at plurality of points; (c) detecting a flow pattern of the molten steel in the mold based on the time-sequential variations of temperatures of the copper plate at individual measurement points; and (d) controlling the flow pattern to establish a specified pattern on the basis of the detected result. The temperatures of mold copper plate are measured by plurality of temperature measurement elements buried in the rear face of the mold copper plate for continuous casting. The temperature measurement elements are arranged in a range of from 10 to 135 mm distant from the melt surface in the mold in the slab-drawing direction.

摘要: A manufacturing method for a continuously cast product of steel includes the steps of detecting a position of a crater end of the product by a method for measuring a solidification state of continuously cast product using a sensor arranged so as to be in non-contact with the product, and controlling at least one condition selected from the conditions of the casting speed and the quantity of secondary cooling water based on the detected position of crater end. The method for measuring a solidification state of continuously cast product includes the steps of transmitting transverse waves of burst-like electromagnetic ultrasonic waves, in which at least one selected from frequency, amplitude, and phase is modulated within a pulse width that has a magnitude of 50 to 150% of the maximum time width not exceeding a time of flight for propagating in said product, to said product as a transmitting signal, receiving a signal after said transmitting signal propagates in said product as a receiving signal, and judging the solidification state of said product by performing a correlation operation of said receiving signal by using a reference signal of a waveform that is the same as or similar to said transmitting signal.
