    摘要: A method for detecting a crater end of a continuously cast product, including installing an ultrasonic shear wave sensor for transmitting an ultrasonic shear wave to the continuously cast product and receiving the transmitted ultrasonic shear wave in a continuous casting machine, detecting based on variations of an ultrasonic signal received by the ultrasonic shear wave sensor that the crater end of the cast product is matched with the installed position of the ultrasonic shear wave sensor, calibrating a physical property value used in a calculation based on a heat condition equation such that the crater end computed based on the heat condition equation using casting conditions at that time is matched with the installed position of the ultrasonic shear wave sensor, and after the calibration, determining the crater end by the calculation based on the heat condition equation under respective casting conditions by using the calibrated physical property value.

    摘要: A lubricating structure for an engine includes a crankcase for supporting a crankshaft formed from a pair of case halves coupled to each other along a mating plane extending along a plane perpendicular to an axial line of the crankshaft. An oil reservoir in a lower portion of the crankcase extends across the mating plane. A pump chamber of an oil pump is formed between the two case halves across the mating plane. Lubricant is drawn from the oil reservoir into the oil pump using a structure which can achieve reduction of the number of parts and improve the ease of assembly. The structure includes a path groove, which forms an oil suction path for interconnecting the oil pump and the oil reservoir, formed in at least one of the two case halves.

    摘要: This invention provides a hot forming mold made of xonotlite group materials such as xonotlite, or wollastonite made therefrom, which are known as a heat-resisting materials. By hot pressing these material to high bulk density e.g., 0.6 to 2.20, a mold suitable for use in hot forming, having increased sending strength and hardness can be efficiently made.Such molds are made by filter pressing an aqueous slurry of xonotlite, then drying the pressed product to remove moisture at a temperature less than about 700.degree. C., and then cutting out the mold for use in molding plastic, glass and the like. By heat treating this mold product at a temperature of about 700.degree. to 1200.degree. C. the mold so produced can be subjected to machining and can be used as a mold for superplastic forming aluminum, titanium and the like.

    摘要: A cylinder block, a cylinder head and a cylinder head cover are stacked in order to form a four-cycle engine. A valve train of a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) type provided with an intake valve and an exhaust valve is provided in the cylinder head. A line extending parallel with a joint between the cylinder head and the cylinder head cover is inclined forward and downward toward a line parallel with a joint between the cylinder block and the cylinder head. An axis of an exhaust valve and/or an axis of a plug tube is/are perpendicular to the line extending parallel with the joint between the cylinder head and the cylinder head cover. A cylinder head hanger is integrally formed at an uppermost end of a rear portion of the cylinder head over an intake port.
