摘要: Increased intracranial pressure in warm-blooded animals is reduced by administering to the warm-blooded animals a therapeutically effective amount of a propanol derivative of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is alkyl having one to 4 carbon atoms and Ring A is phenyl, halogenophenyl, methylphenyl or trifluoromethylphenyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.

摘要: A plate roofing material is divided into an exterior portion which is exposed when a roof is covered with a plate roofing material and an overlap portion which is concealed under an exterior portion of a plate roofing material superimposed on the overlap portion of the plate roofing material. At least one longitudinal groove is formed in the surface of the exterior portion. The longitudinal groove has wide side surface parts alternating with narrow side surface parts with sidewalls formed of a plurality of stepped portions. The longitudinal groove has a linear bottom part having an approximately constant depth and is approximately V-shaped in cross section.

摘要: In a continuous process for continuous casting and hot-rolling of metal sheet, off-line storage of a slab takes place in a thermally insulated storage chamber located alongside a thermally insulated zone through which the slab lengths travel in the production line between a cutter for the slab and the hot-rolling mill train. On stoppage of the hot-rolling mill train, at least one slab length is transferred laterally to the off-line thermally insulated storage chamber. To improve ductility, an induction heating stage is combined with a subsequent temperature-maintaining stage in the furnace for homogenization of temperature within the slab. Both these stages are performed on the slab at its casting thickness.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for controlling a rolling mill which dampens a snake motion of a material being rolled is disclosed. According to this method and apparatus, an amount corresponding to the snake motion of the material being rolled is detected, and the value thus detected is added to a value corresponding to a differentiated value of said detected value. A control operation is applied to the material being rolled to thereby control the snake motion of the material.
