    摘要: The present invention is directed to a method for production of a water-soluble cationic polymer comprising polymerizing a cationic vinyl monomer; either a cationic acrylate monomer alone or a mixture of said monomer and another monomer copolymerizable therewith, in dispersion medium in the presence of a surfactant by suspension polymerization method. The present invention offers an industrially advantageous method to obtain the water-soluble cationic polymer with a high degree of cationization and a high viscosity in water solution which can be used for flocculants, antistatic agents, retention aids for paper manufacturing and other purposes.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for producing a water-absorbent resin by a reversed-phase suspension polymerization method, wherein an odor originating from a raw material component, in particular, a petroleum hydrocarbon dispersion medium, was reduced, and a water-absorbent resin obtained by the method. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for producing a water-absorbent resin comprising performing a reversed-phase suspension polymerization of a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer in a petroleum hydrocarbon dispersion medium by using a surfactant, wherein an aqueous solution of the water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer is dispersed in the dispersion medium at a specific pouring rate to reduce an odor, and a water-absorbent resin obtained by the method, are provided.

    摘要: A water-absorbent sheet composition comprising a structure in which a water-absorbent resin and a hot melt adhesive are sandwiched with two or more sheets of hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics, wherein the hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics have a basis weight of 30 g/m2 or more, and wherein the water-absorbent resin is contained in an amount of from 10 to 150 g/m2, and wherein the hot melt adhesive is contained in an amount of from 0.10 to 1.0 time that of the amount of the water-absorbent resin contained (based on weight). The water-absorbent sheet composition of the present invention exhibits some excellent effects that the sheet composition has sufficient absorbency not only for a liquid having a low viscosity but also a liquid having a high viscosity, without undergoing deformation of shape before or after liquid absorption, while being thin in style. Therefore, the water-absorbent sheet composition of the present invention is used as an absorbent material for sanitary napkins and incontinence pads, whereby a hygienic material not only that is thin and has excellent external design, but also free from inconveniences such as liquid leakage can be provided.

In down-draw processing, a molten glass is made to overflow from a forming member and formed into a sheet glass and the sheet glass is then cooled while being drawn in a downward-flow direction. In this glass-substrate manufacturing method, after the sheet glass has separated from the forming member and when the temperature of the sheet glass is within a temperature region ranging from a temperature higher than the softening point to a temperature near the annealing point, the sheet glass is cooled by maintaining the viscosity of side sections of the sheet glass within a range of 109.0-1014.5 poise while applying a tension toward the side sections.
