摘要: A power supply driver circuit with low power losses and desired response characteristics with respect to changes in output and its miniaturization is provided. In a driver IC constituting a switched-mode power supply equipment controlling the switching, by pulse width modulation, of first and second power transistors passing a current in a coil, and outputting a voltage bucked or boosted from an input voltage, current sensing with desired responsiveness is enabled by providing a switching transistor between an inverted input terminal and a non-inverted input terminal of an operational amplifier, preventing, while the second power transistor is ON, the generation of a potential which is undefined when first power transistor is ON, i.e. when the second power transistor is OFF, and maintaining a node potential in a state in which the potential is well defined.

摘要: In a switching power supply apparatus for performing a switching control of a power MOS transistor that flows current to a coil and converting input voltage into output voltage, even if there occurs offset voltage in a current sensing operational amplifier, source potential of a current sensing MOS transistor is precisely kept at source potential of a low side power MOS transistor. For example, an offset cancel capacitor is arranged at an inverting input terminal of the current sensing operational amplifier, and voltage in the direction to offset the offset voltage occurring in the operational amplifier is charged to this capacitor.

摘要: A step down type DC-DC power-supply device implements both the stabilization of the control loop and the responsibility at the same time. In the power-supply device, an output power signal is fed back to an error amplifier after having passed through a CR smoothing filter provided independently of a power LC smoothing filter. Also, independently of the duty controls over Power MOSFETs, i.e., upper-side/lower-side semiconductor switching components in the steady state, an output from the power LC smoothing filter is added to an upper and lower limit-mode-equipped control circuit, thereby, at the transient state, forcefully setting the duty α at either 0% or 100%.

摘要: A semiconductor device capable of achieving downsizing without reducing the power supply efficiency and capable of reducing switching noises and a memory card using the same are disclosed. The device comprises a plurality of stages of voltage booster circuits for potentially raising a power supply voltage up to a final output voltage, a voltage control unit for controlling an output voltage at a nearby location of the final stage, and one or more internal elements to which the final output voltage is supplied. A primary voltage booster circuit at the first stage includes an inductance element, a switching element, a diode and a driver circuit. At a metal core part of the inductance element, a metal wiring line is used, which was formed by use of a fabrication process of semiconductor integrated circuits, while employing for its core part an inter-wiring layer dielectric film that was formed using the fabrication process. In addition, the switching element and the diode are arranged so that portions thereof are disposed beneath the inductance element.

摘要: In a switching power source which controls a current which flows in an inductor through a switching element which performs a switching operation in response to a PWM signal, and forms an output voltage by a capacitor which is provided in series in the inductor, a booster circuit which is constituted of a bootstrap capacity and a MOSFET is provided between an output node of the switching element and a predetermined voltage terminal. The boosted voltage is used as an operational voltage of a driving circuit of the switching element, another source/drain region and a substrate gate are connected with each other, and a junction diode between one source/drain region and the substrate gate is inversely directed with respect to the boosted voltage which is formed by the bootstrap capacity.
