    摘要: A cascoded high-voltage amplifier with Class D-H preamplifier is disclosed. The cascoded amplifier can include a chain of series-coupled low-voltage amplifiers, sometimes with a common gain, where an output of each low-voltage amplifier is coupled to an input of a next low-voltage amplifier, and inputs of adjacent low-voltage amplifiers are coupled via a feedforward connection, and optionally through an impedance component. In this way, a change in the input signal to the preamplifier can level shift the entire chain of low-voltage amplifiers through the feedforward connections. The gain of the cascoded high-voltage amplifier can be a function of the number of low-voltage amplifiers plus that of the Class D-H preamplifier, and a high-voltage output can be achieved without seeing high-voltage drops within the amplifier.

The pulse width modulation modulator is configured to receive an input signal for generating a pulse width modulation signal. The power stage is configured to output an output signal according to a supply voltage and the pulse width modulation signal. The voltage converter is configured to adjust voltage level of the supply voltage according to the pulse width modulation signal. The audio amplifier is configured to adjust the voltage level of the supply voltage when duty ratio of the pulse width modulation signal is greater than a duty ratio threshold.

    摘要: Examples of amplifiers and components thereof are configured to adjust the OFF-pulse widths of a high-duty cycle pulse width modulated (PWM) output signal and the ON-pulse widths of a low-duty cycle PWM output signal. Such control is carried out using high- and low-side (HS and LS) detectors. The HS detector coupled to the control terminal of an HS transistor detects when the gate-to-source voltage (Vgs) of the HS transistor drops below a threshold and outputs an HS detection signal to adjust the OFF-pulse widths of the high-duty cycle PWM output signal. An LS detector coupled to the control terminal of an LS transistor detects when the Vgs of the LS transistor drops below the threshold and outputs a LS detection signal to adjust the ON-pulse widths of the low-duty cycle PWM output signal.

    摘要: The present invention provides a driving circuit for a switching transistor and a driving device including the same. The driving circuit includes: a power amplifier, including a first power transistor and a second power transistor that are connected between a first direct current voltage terminal and a second direct current voltage terminal and are arranged in a push-pull circuit; a first voltage regulating device, connected between an input terminal of the power amplifier and a control terminal of the first power transistor; a third power transistor, connected between an output terminal of the power amplifier and the second direct current voltage terminal or a grounding terminal; a first voltage dividing device, connected between the input terminal and the output terminal of the power amplifier; and a transistor control circuit, configured to: control the third power transistor to be turned on when the switching transistor is located in a short-circuit path, and control the third power transistor to be turned off when the switching transistor is controlled to be turned on and is not located in the short-circuit path. The driving circuit of the present invention reduces the power consumption of the switching transistor and extends the time for short-circuit protection.

    摘要: An error amplifier includes an output pin coupled to a pulse width modulation (PWM) comparator of a buck-boost converter. A first transconductance amplifier adjusts an output current at the output pin and operates in a constant voltage mode. The first transconductance amplifier includes a first positive input to receive a first voltage reference and a first negative input coupled to a tap point of a voltage divider coupled between a voltage bus and a ground of the buck-boost converter. A second transconductance amplifier also adjusts the output current at the output pin and operates in a constant current mode. The second transconductance amplifier includes a second positive input to receive a second voltage reference and a second negative input coupled to a current sense amplifier, the current sense amplifier being coupled to a sense resistor positioned inline along the voltage bus.

The characteristics of the circuit in the signal time domain and frequency are improved by simultaneously controlling the amplitude and the frequency of the audio signal, to minimize power consumption of signals with different amplitudes and frequencies, and to improve EMI performance, or to balance the circuit power consumption and EMI characteristics.

    摘要: A switching circuit includes first and second half bridges supplying an electrical load via filter networks. During alternate switching sequences a first transistor pair (high-side in one half bridge and low-side in the other half bridge) is switched to a non-conductive state, and a second transistor pair (high-side in the other half bridge and low-side in the one half bridge) is switched to a conductive state. A current flow line is provided by an inductance, a first switch and a second switch between outputs of the half bridges. In a medium-high power mode, the first and second switches are in the conductive state between switching the first pair of transistors to the non-conductive state and the second pair of transistors to the conductive state. In a low or quiescent power mode, switching the first and second switches to the conductive state is refrained due to application of a longer delay.
