    摘要: A torque transmission device is provided wherein a rotary housing is connected to one of front and rear drive shafts which respectively drive front and rear axles of a four-wheel drive vehicle, while a rotary shaft coaxially carried by the rotary housing is connected to the other of the front and rear drive shafts. The housing receives therein a multiple disc clutch device for transmitting rotational power between the housing and the shaft through friction engagement between alternately arranged outer and inner clutch discs which are respectively rotatable bodily with the housing and the shaft. The housing also receives an axially movable piston to press the clutch discs for friction engagement. An end wall of the housing or an end cap secured thereto and a facing end surface of the piston define an axially narrow circuit chamber, within which a rotary with several radially extending blade portions is received to be rotated by the shaft. Several space sections into which the chamber is divided by the rotor blade portions are filled with silicon oil of a high viscosity. When the rotational speed difference occurs between the rotor and the housing, a pressure is generated within each of the space sections thanks to the high viscosity of the silicon oil and is directly applied to the piston, whereby rotational power is transmitted from the housing to the rotary shaft and vice versa.

    摘要: A driving free distribution transmission for use with a vehicle with fourwheel drive. The vehicle has first and second drive shafts which are connected with the front and rear wheels, respectively. The transmission has a hydraulic clutch, a differential pump, a bias spring, and a selector valve. The clutch has outer and inner plates which are caused to frictionally engage with each other to transmit rotary power between the two drive shafts. The pump produces a hydraulic pressure corresponding to the difference between the rotating speeds of the drive shafts. The oil delivered by the pump is forced into a reservoir through a first passage in which a restrictor is formed. A second passage connects the pump with an oil chamber in the clutch. A third passage connects the oil chamber with the reservoir without via the restrictor. The spring always presses the outer and inner plates towards each other. When the difference between the speeds of the drive shafts is small, the selector valve closes the second passage and opens the third passage. When the difference is large, the valve opens the second passage and closes the third passage.

    摘要: A control coupling for torque transmission between a pair of rotary members coaxially arranged for relative rotation, which includes a cylindrical casing mounted on one of the rotary members for rotation therewith, a friction clutch assembled within the casing, a piston axially slidably coupled within the casing for rotation therewith and being in engagement with the friction clutch, an end wall member coupled with the casing for rotation therewith and spaced from the piston to form a fluid chamber filled with an amount of viscous fluid, and a rotor disposed in the fluid chamber and mounted on the other rotary member for rotation therewith. The rotor has a plurality of radial blades extending radially outwardly therefrom and being disposed between the piston and the end wall member. The radial plates each have a base portion thickened in an axial direction to increase the amount of viscous fluid stored in the fluid chamber and an outer end portion formed thinner than the base portion, and each internal surface of the piston and end wall member exposed to the fluid chamber is formed to correspond with the opposite surfaces of the radial blade.

    摘要: A vane type rotary pump comprises a cam ring mounted within a stator housing and having an inner peripheral wall defining four circumferentially equi-spaced semicylindrical inner cam surfaces, a pair of end wall structures fitted to opposite ends of the cam ring to form a pump cavity, a drive shaft rotatably mounted within the stator housing, a rotor contained within the pump cavity and mounted on the drive shaft for rotation therewith, and a plurality of circumferentially equi-spaced vanes slidably fitted in the body of the rotor to cooperate with the inner cam surfaces to form four pairs of suction and delivery chambers. One of the end wall structures is formed with four pairs of circumferentially spaced suction and delivery ports in communication with the respective suction and delivery chambers, and a pair of changeover valves are disposed within a pair of delivery passages in connection to a pair of the diametrically opposed delivery ports to connect the delivery passages to the suction ports associated with the diametrically opposed delivery ports in their activated conditions and to disconnect the delivery passages from the suction ports in their deactivated conditions. The changeover valves are arranged to be simultaneously activated when the rotational speed of the drive shaft exceeds a predetermined value.
