    摘要: A wet clutch (10) for mounting on a shaft (12) having an internal shaft conduit (88) for a hydraulic fluid is provided. The wet clutch (10) comprises: a clutch hub (16) configured to be mounted on the shaft (12), a clutch basket (18) configured to be rotationally supported relative to shaft (12), and a clutch pack (20) operationally connecting the clutch hub (16) and the clutch basket (18). The wet clutch (10) further comprises: a front part (34) configured to be fixed relative to the shaft, an actuator (22) supported by the front part (34) and radially spaced apart from the shaft (12), wherein the actuator (22) is configured to operationally connected to the shaft conduit (88). The wet clutch (10) further comprises: one or more relief valves (102) connected to the actuator and configured to release the hydraulic fluid.

    摘要: A clutch arrangement responsive to a speed difference including an input element and an output element that are rotatable relevant to one another, a friction clutch, and a pump. The friction clutch couples the input element with the output element in dependence on a hydraulic pressure prevails in a pressure space of the clutch arrangement. The pump has a first pump part that is rotationally fixedly connected to the input element and a second pump part that is rotationally fixedly connected to the output element. The pump may be driven by a rotary movement of the input element and the output element relative to one another, with a pressure side of the pump being connected to the pressure space. An orifice having a substantially temperature independent leakage characteristic is arranged at a leakage line that leads from the pressure space to a low pressure space and extends parallel to the pump.

    摘要: A hydraulically actuated torque coupling assembly that has an actuator plate mechanism integrated within the pressure relief valve assembly. The actuator plate includes a valve closure member and two alignment pins. The valve closure member is disposed adjacent to a valve seat on the face of the torque coupling assembly. The actuator plate and an associated electro-magnetic solenoid assembly are partially enclosed in a stationary housing that is positioned outside the coupling case. A variable amount of electrical current is applied to the solenoid assembly so that the actuator plate valve closure member engages the associated valve seat. The release pressure of the pressure relief valve assembly is selectively based on the magnitude of an electric current supplied to the solenoid assembly.

    摘要: Pump pressure output can be controlled as temperature changes by a temperature compensation element. The present invention provides a shear channel constructed out of two or more materials enabling a pump to have a pressure profile as a function of temperature for a viscous fluid. The channel height varies as a function of temperature when the channel walls and temperature compensation element are constructed from materials having different coefficients of thermal expansion. By selecting a combination of materials, the channel height can increase, decrease, or remain constant as the temperature is changed. Ignoring the effects of viscosity, channel length, and relative speed the effect of channel height on pump output pressure is assessed: by increasing channel height as temperature increases, the pressure will decrease; by keeping the channel height constant as temperature increases, the pressure will remain constant; and by decreasing channel height as temperature increases, the pressure will increase.

    摘要: In a transmitting system for a small-sized vehicle in which a crankshaft of an engine and an input shaft of a multi-stage transmission are connected to each other through a fluid transmitting device, a shifting clutch is interposed between the crankshaft of the engine and the multi-stage transmission in a series relation to the fluid transmitting device. A lock-up clutch is interposed between a pump impeller and a turbine impeller of the fluid transmitting device. Thus, when the multi-stage transmission is to be shifted, the shifting operation can be conducted lightly, in spite of a creep phenomenon of the fluid transmitting device, by bringing the shifting clutch into an OFF state. Moreover, during cruising of the vehicle, the slipping of the fluid transmitting device can be inhibited by the OFF state of the lock-up clutch to enhance the transmitting efficiency.

The device comprises a friction coupling 12 having friction elements rotationally fixed to each of the parts. The friction elements are rotatably relative to one another. The friction coupling 12 is loadable by at least two movable pistons 19.sub.1, 19.sub.2, which delimit a pressure chamber 21 on one side. The pressure chamber 21 is filled with a viscous fluid, and is connected to a reservoir 26. The pressure chamber 21 is formed by a rotational housing 20 and the pistons 19.sub.1, 19.sub.2. A control member 23 is positioned in a pressure chamber 21 and faces of the rotational member and counter faces of the control member and constitute at least one shear channel 38 which communicates with the reservoir 26 and the pressure chamber 21.
