Disclosed is a releasably sealable bag for low temperature cooking comprising a film material, wherein the film material does not deform at temperatures of up to about 125° C., and wherein the bag is air and liquid impermeable when sealed. Also disclosed are such bags wherein at least a portion of the film material is comprised of a composite film material provided with a pressure sensitive adhesive protected from inadvertent adherence. Further disclosed are methods for food preparation and cooking using any of the embodiments of the bag of the present invention.

A high speed embossing and adhesive printing process using a first and second embossing rolls having complementary embossing pattern disposed thereon. A web of sheet material is placed in contact with an adhesive applied to the first embossing roll. The adhesive forms an adhesive pattern on the web of sheet material in register with the first embossing pattern of the first embossing roll. The web of sheet material is then passed between the first and second embossing rolls which emboss the web with the complementary embossing pattern.

A universal and self-contained monitor for collecting data on consumer consumption of products dispensable by portions. The monitor comprises a supporting member capable of supporting a dispensable product thereon, a weight sensor in operative communication with the supporting member, and a recorder. The tested dispensable product has a product weight. The weight sensor measures the product weight as the portions of the tested dispensable product are removed therefrom. The recorder is in communication with the weight sensor for receiving and recording the product weight. Optionally, the monitor further comprises a consumer input device for receiving data generated by a user regarding usage and acceptability of the tested dispensable product. The results of the product weight measurements and the data generated by a user may be uploaded to a computer to create a data file.
