The memory apparatus includes a memory module that can store and incorporate environment-dependent optimal operating parameters. The memory module comprises a plurality of volatile memory devices and one or more non-volatile memory devices that store a plurality of environment-dependent device parameters for a device selected from the plurality of volatile memory devices. The stored parameters enable the selected device to function optimally in multiple environmental conditions.

    摘要： A pipe clamp device having first and second portions connected together at a hinge. At least one portion is adapted to move pivotally around the hinge relative to the other portion, the first and second portions being adapted to co-operate with one another to close around and at least partially encircle a pipe to be clamped. The pipe clamp device has securing members to secure the first and second portions in a clamped arrangement around the pipe. The pipe clamp device has a sealing mechanism configured to seal between one of the first and second portions and the pipe, wherein the sealing mechanism comprises first and second seal devices housed in respective recesses and defining a sealed chamber between the recessed first and second seal devices. A settable fluid is injected into the sealed chamber between the first and second seal devices. A method of suing the clamp device is also disclosed.

    摘要： A shell assembly 1 for securing to a tubular member 50 comprises a first part 2 for locating on the tubular member, and second and third parts 4, 6 respectively hinged 8, 10 to opposite sides of the first part. The parts 4 and 6 each have engaging means 40 or 42 complementary to that of the other part. Remotely operable means 20 is used to move the parts 4 and 6 and about hinges 8 and 10 to respective positions whereat the engaging means 40 and 42 interengage so that the parts 4 and 6 are secured together. The shell assembly may be employed in subsea operations to support a damaged region of a pipeline or to enable a branch or tee to be secured to a pipeline.
