摘要: A method of a wireless communication device operably connectable to a first cell of a first public land mobile network—PLMN—applying a first radio access technology—RAT, is disclosed. The method comprises detecting (301) a second cell of a second PLMN applying a second RAT and determining (302) whether a network relation exists between the first cell and the second cell. The method also comprises performing (304) a connection set up to the first cell if it is determined that a network relation exists between the first cell and the second cell, and performing (303) the connection set up to the second cell if it is determined that there does not exist a network relation between the first cell and the second cell. Also disclosed is an arrangement for a wireless communication device, a wireless communication device and a computer program product.

摘要: A handover procedure is described where a user equipment, UE, is pre-configured by a network node of a source cell with one or more target cells and associated conditions to be fulfilled for the UE to autonomously decide when to execute the handover. The UE may be pre-configured while in good radio conditions, being connected to the source cell, and hence the UE does not risk going out of source cell coverage before being handed over to a target cell.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting one or more predefined signals while suppressing interference. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a wireless device in a wireless network to detect a predetermined signal in the presence of interference comprises detecting one or more first cells and detecting one or more predetermined signals from a second cell while spatially filtering transmissions from one or more perceived directions of the one or more first cells, respectively. In this manner, detection of the one or more predefined signals from the second cell is improved. In some embodiments, the one or more first cells are strong relative to the weaker second cell.

摘要: The gain of an amplifier in a receiver operating in a cellular communication system is controlled by determining one or more gain variability metrics, which are then used to produce first and second threshold values. A frequency difference between a current carrier frequency and a target carrier frequency is ascertained and then compared to the threshold values. Target gain setting production is based on comparison results: If the frequency difference is larger than the first threshold, a full automatic gain control algorithm is performed; if the frequency difference is smaller than the first threshold and larger than the second threshold, an optimized automatic gain control algorithm is performed, wherein the optimized automatic gain control algorithm uses a current gain setting as a starting point; and if the frequency difference is smaller than both the first and second thresholds, the current gain setting is used as the target gain setting.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method performed in a radio device 4 connected to a communication network 1 comprising a core network (CN) and a Radio Access Network (RAN), where there is a communication bearer between the radio device and the CN via the RAN comprising a radio bearer between the radio device and a RAN node of the RAN, for adapting a Quality of Service (QoS) of the communication bearer. The method comprises, to the CN, sending a request for a first QoS to be associated with the communication bearer. The method also comprises exchanging data over the radio bearer in accordance with the first QoS of the communication bearer. The method also comprises, to the RAN, sending an indication that a second QoS, lower than the first QoS, should be used for the radio bearer. The method also comprises exchanging data over the radio bearer in accordance with the second QoS.

摘要: A method a wireless communication device and a corresponding method for a network node of a cellular communication system are disclosed. The network node and the wireless communication device are configured to communicate with each other according to an automatic repeat request (ARQ) protocol having a requirement that a number of time units between reception of an ARQ packet and transmission of an associated response message is smaller than a maximum response time. According to the methods, the wireless communication device transmits at least one measurement gap adaptation signal to the network node. The network node determines a measurement gap configuration of the wireless communication device based on the measurement gap adaptation signal, wherein measurement gaps of the measurement gap configuration have a length smaller than the maximum response time. The network node transmits an indication of the measurement gap configuration to the wireless communication device, which uses the measurement gap configuration to perform measurements. Corresponding computer program product, arrangements, network node and wireless communication device are also disclosed.

In this manner, cell detection is improved in a manner that is particularly suitable for, e.g., high speed train scenarios, but the systems and methods disclosed herein are not limited thereto.

摘要: Telecommunications service is provided to mobile equipment aboard an airborne aircraft. A master coordination node (MCN) coordinates communication from groups of subordinate nodes in the network such that each group communicates a different layer of data to the mobile communication equipment aboard the aircraft. Each group of subordinate nodes transmits beam steered, Doppler shift compensated downlink signals directed at the aircraft. Coordination controls the timing of transmissions from the subordinate nodes so as to have signals received by the mobile communication equipment from the groups of subordinate nodes keep within a required temporal delay of a cyclic prefix in the received signals; the Doppler shift pre-compensation performed by each subordinate node such that the mobile communication equipment aboard the aircraft experiences a nominal carrier frequency when receiving transmissions from each of the subordinate nodes; and ensuring mutual compatibility of the signals transmitted by each of the groups of subordinate nodes.

摘要: A network node in a cellular telecommunications system hands over responsibility for serving a wireless communication equipment from a serving cell to a target cell, wherein the wireless communication equipment is situated in a first aircraft that is in-flight. An aircraft position, an aircraft velocity, and an aircraft direction are determined. For each candidate cell of a number of candidate cells, a level of beam distortion that would result from a beam directed from the candidate cell to the first aircraft is predicted. The target cell is selected from the candidate cells by identifying which of the candidate cells has a least amount of predicted beam distortion. The target cell is then signaled to prepare for a handover of responsibility for serving the wireless communication equipment.

摘要: A controller arrangement comprising a transceiver capable of communication via a wireless communication network, a controller arranged to control a physical entity at which the controller arrangement is arranged, and an interface between the transceiver and the controller is disclosed. The transceiver is arranged to provide information via the interface about present or imminent interrupts in the communication via the wireless network. The controller is arranged to operate in at least a first state when the information indicates that no interrupts are present or imminent, wherein the first state includes closed loop control from a remote entity via the wireless communication network, and a second state when the information indicates that interrupts are present or imminent, wherein the second state includes autonomous control operations by the controller. A method and computer program are also disclosed.
