A product roll packaging apparatus includes a transfer unit for lifting and transferring a product roll from a conveyor, a wrapping unit for wrapping a protective sheet around the roll and attaching an end thereof with an adhesive tape, a protective sheet supply unit for cutting off the sheet from a sheet roll and supplying it along a protective sheet path line to the wrapping unit, and a tape supply unit for supplying the tape to the end of the cut sheet. The transfer unit includes a position correcting mechanism for establishing a reference line depending on the roll size, and bringing a reference end face of the roll into alignment with a vertical plane including the reference line. The protective sheet supply unit includes an edge position control mechanism for bringing a reference edge of the sheet into alignment with the reference line corresponding to the roll size.

A selected rubber blend of styrene-butadiene rubber and natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber is combined with a selected carbon black of specified specific surface areas and also with a selected softener of specified viscosity-gravity constants. The styrene-butadiene rubber consists essentially of two styrene-butadiene block copolymers each having varied styrene and vinyl contents and a specified transition temperature width, one block having a higher glass transition temperature than the other.

Disclosed is a process for producing an information recording medium of air-sandwich type for optically recording or reproducing information which comprises an information recording disc and hubs provided on both sides at the center thereof. In the process, using a receiving tool provided with a disc-shaped raised portion for receiving a substrate at its center and a hub-receiving center axis extended upward from the center, a circular hole of the disc is fitted to the raised portion of the receiving tool, then a magnetizable hub having a magnetizable substance and a clamping hole at the center is fitted coaxially to the recording disc, and the hub is joined to the disc. Thereafter, the disc joined with the hub is turned over and fitted onto other receiving tool, and the other hub is joined to the disc. Otherwise, after one hub is joined to the recording disc on one side, another magnetizable hub may be joined to the back side of the recording disc by fitting the magnetizable hub to a different receiving tool and then fitting the above-obtained disc onto the magnetizable hub.

A method of obtaining lupulin-rich products from hops, which comprises: subjecting frozen hop cones to coarse crushing by a first crusher equipped with a screen having width of openings in the range of 6 - 15 mm and sieving fragments of crushed hops passing therethrough to obtain a first lot of lupulin-rich product as accumulated beneath the sieve; and then subjecting the portion which passed over the screen of the sieve to recrushing by a second crusher equipped with a screen having narrower openings than that of the first crusher a screen having width of openings in the range of 3 - 6 mm, and sieving fragments of recrushed hops passing therethrough to obtain a second lot of lupulin-rich product as accumulated beneath the sieves.The method is performed on hops and particles thereof maintained in the frozen condition.
