摘要： A heterojunction bipolar transistor comprises n.sup.+ -type GaAs collector contact region, an n-type GaAs collector region, a p.sup.+ -type GaAs base region, an n-type AlGaAs emitter region, and an n.sup.+ -type InGaAs emitter contact region, all of which are formed on a semiinsulative GaAs substrate. A heterojunction is formed by the base region and the emitter region. The emitter region is formed in mesa shape by dry etching. Around this mesa, B.sup.+ ion-implanted high-resistance region is formed. The base-emitter Junction is isolated from the ion-implanted region. The heterojunction bipolar transistor therefore has little on-voltage changes.

摘要： At least two pairs of auxiliary coils are disposed externally on a deflection yoke at positions which are symmetric with respect to the central axis of a horizontal direction of said deflection yoke and which are separated from each other in the direction of the axis of a cathode ray tube. At least two pairs of auxiliary coils are respectively disposed in front of and at the back of the longitudinal center of a magnetic core. The auxiliary coils have a horizontal length which is longer than its another length. A horizontal deflecting current is supplied to the first pair of auxiliary coils in the direction in which unnecessary radiant magnetic fields generated in front of and at the back of the deflection yoke are suppressed, and a horizontal deflecting current is supplied to the second pair of auxiliary coils in the direction in which an unnecessary radiant magnetic field generated at the back of the deflection yoke is intensified. In consequence, unnecessary radiation can be suppressed simultaneously in front of and at the back of the deflection yoke by a correction apparatus which has a simple structure and which requires no large space.

摘要： A deflection yoke unit to be mounted on a cathode ray tube has a core on which a set of vertical deflection coils and a set of horizontal deflection coils are wound. A pincushion distortion correction device is provided for the deflection yoke unit. The correction device has a set of correction coils having a coil conductor mass quantity and an inductance which are smaller than those of the vertical deflection coil set and having a winding density distribution which is similar to that of the vertical deflection coil set. An upper and lower pincushion distortion correction current is passed through the correction coil set to correct upper and lower pincushion distortions in pictures displayed on a screen of the cathode ray tube. The core has, on its inner wall, slots in which windings of the horizontal deflection coil set, vertical deflection coil set and correction coil set for correction of the upper and lower pincushion picture distortions are received. A plurality of winding guide claw members having each two or three slots are attached to a front open end and a rear open end of the core, respectively. Front end conductors of the respective coil sets are separately placed in the slots at the front open end of the core and rear end conductors of the respective coil sets are separately placed in the slots at the rear open end of the core.

摘要： A deflection yoke for a CRT including a horizontal deflection coil having an axial length in an axial direction of the CRT in an installed position that is not less than 60 mm and not more than 80 mm, a vertical deflection coil having an axial length in an axial direction that ranges from 45 mm to 65 mm, and a core having an axial length in the axial direction that ranges from 25 mm to 45 mm. The subject deflection yoke prevents deterioration in horizontal and vertical deflection sensitivity in CRTs having a neck diameter that is greater than 22 mm and less than 26 mm with a deflection angle that ranges from 95 to 110 degrees. In an alternate embodiment a deflection yoke for a CRT including a horizontal deflection coil, a vertical deflection coil disposed outside of the horizontal deflection coil, and a core disposed outside of the vertical deflection coil wherein in an installed position of the yoke, an inner surface of the deflection yoke is circumscribed around a circle having a diameter of 56.5 mm and the horizontal deflection coil has a length thereof extending from the tube axial position to an opening end of the horizontal deflection coil ranges from 20.5 mm to 24.5 mm and a length thereof extending from the tube axial position to a neck end of the horizontal deflection coil ranges from 46 mm to 50 mm. The subject deflection yoke reduces neck shadow in color CRTs having a 95 to 105 degree deflection with a 400 to 420 mm diagonal and a neck having an outside diameter form 23.6 mm to 25.0 mm at a portion where the deflection yoke is attached.

摘要： A cathode-ray tube apparatus capable of reducing a high frequency electric field radiated from the deflection yoke and the deflection and high voltage circuit to the outside of the cathode-ray tube apparatus. Mounted on the deflection yoke or on the cathode-ray tube are an induction coil for generating a pulse voltage opposite in polarity to a high pulse voltage applied to the h and an electric field cancellation electrode made of a conductive wire to which the opposite polarity pulse voltage is applied. When the opposite polarity pulse voltage is applied to the electric field cancellation electrode, the electric field cancellation electrode radiates an electric field opposite in polarity to the high frequency electric field radiated from the deflection yoke to the outside of the cathode-ray tube apparatus to reduce the intensity of the high frequency electric field.

摘要： A color cathode-ray tube which includes a deflection yoke having a convergence correcting device and an electron gun provided to the deflection yoke for generating a multiplicity of electron beams. In the deflection yoke, a vertical deflection coil is made up of at least a pair of saddle type coil halves each divided into at least first and second coil parts, the first coil parts of the coil halves and the second coil parts thereof are connected respectively mutually in series or parallel, a subcore having a vertical auxiliary deflection coil is provided on a side of the electron gun, the vertical auxiliary deflection coil is made up of first and second correction coils for generating 4 polar magnetic field components which are directed at least opposite to each other, a series circuit of a first resistor and the first correction coil is connected in parallel to a series circuit of a second resistor and the second correction coil to form a parallel circuit, the parallel circuit is connected in series with the vertical deflection coil, a shunt circuit is provided for shunting a current flowing through the second coil part to supply the shunted current into the first and second correction coils to thereby cause a predetermined imbalance between the currents flowing through the first and second correction coils, when an area of a display screen other than a predetermined range in a vertical direction is subjected to a vertical deflection. Thereby horizontal and vertical line misconvergences can be corrected.

摘要： A cathode ray tube display device including unnecessary radiating magnetic field reducer which improves the ability to reduce an unnecessary radiating magnetic field, especially, generated by a vertical deflection coil. A pair of coil is disposed in opposing relationship on the opposite sides of the ferrite core along an X-axis or in the horizontal direction of the deflection yoke so as to be in contact with an open side end of the ferrite core. Each coil has a shape curved with a predetermined radius of curvature conforming to the shape of the outer peripheral surface of the ferrite core. The ferrite core acts as a magnetic material for the coils which reduces the unnecessary radiating magnetic fields to increase the coil inductances to thereby produce a large extremely low frequency magnetic field (ELMF) reducing effect.

Preferably, the base doping concentration is set to be 1.2.times.10.sup.20 cm.sup.-3 or more so that the operation speed can be made remarkably fast.
