摘要: In a laser beam machining method, after a transparent film of light permeable material has been attached to a workpiece at least on the laser beam incident side, a laser beam is irradiated onto the workpiece. A transparent film of a light permeable material is attached to the side of the workpiece opposite to the laser beam incident side. The laser beam machining method is utilized to machine components. Even if an inexpensive laser beam is used, the laser beam machining method generates perforations with diameters of less than 20 μm., cuts with widths of less than 20 μm., and readily removes carbon particles attached to the workpiece when being machined.

摘要: An electronic part, particularly a microstructure contact having an overall length of the order of 5 mm for an electrical connector or the like is provided with a nickel oxide layer portion having a nickel oxide layer of the order of 50 to 5000 .ANG. in thickness formed by anode oxidizing process using a solution mainly consisting of an alkaline solution. The nickel oxide layer portion is located between a terminal portion of the electronic part to be soldered as in a surface mounting process and a contact portion continuous to and extending from the terminal portion. The nickel oxide layer has a width of the order of 0.2 to 1 mm in the longitudinal direction of the contact and has a performance preventing the flowing of molten solder, thereby effectively preventing the flowing and wicking due to wetting of solder of the solder-plated portion toward the other portions as in the surface mounting process.

摘要: A C-shaped compliant contact is composed of a connection portion to be connected to an electric cable or the like, a press-fitting portion to be press-fitted in a through-hole of the printed circuit board, and a contact portion to contact a contact of a mating connector. The press-fitting portion has an inner periphery forming a U-shaped groove in section and an outer periphery forming at least one arc portion. The circle inscribing the inner periphery of the U-shaped groove is in an eccentric relation to the arc portion of the outer periphery. The thickness of the arc portion in cross-section progressively decreasing on proceeding toward the open end of the U-shaped groove to make longer the arc portion contacting the through-hole of the printed circuit board. The U-shaped groove is formed with a ramp surface located inside the inner periphery near to the connection portion, connected to the bottom of the U-shaped groove and inclined to make shallower the U-shaped groove, thereby preventing the connection portion of the contact from being bent when it is being press-fitted into the through-hole of the printed circuit board.

摘要: An electrical connector includes a first connector having a plurality of electric contacts and a second connector having a plurality of electric contact elements which are to be contacted with the electric contacts of the first connector when the first and second connectors are connected. A board of the second connector which supports its electric contact elements is formed with slits closely surrounding the respective electric contact elements. Preferably, the board consists of a first board formed with the slits described above and a second board formed with an opening having an area corresponding to the whole area of the first board provided with the electric contact elements. Alternatively, small tongue-shaped movable pieces supporting the electric contacts of the second connector are previously inclined at an angle &agr; toward the electric contacts of the first connector, and the electric contacts of the second connector are inclined at an angle &bgr; in opposite side of the angle &agr; in a relation &agr;>&bgr; when the first and second connectors have been completely connected. With these construction, the electrical connector becomes compact and is able to prevent any incorrect connection between the electric contacts and the electric contact elements of the first and second connectors and to ensure the required impedance characteristics even if there are differences in height between the electric contacts of the first connector.

摘要: A female electrical contact for making electrical contact with a mating male pin contact. The female contact is formed from a single piece of sheet metal and includes a pair of opposed contact leaves encased in the end of a tubular member of rectangular cross section. The tubular member has a closed end with a small aperture at its center, opening into between the two opposing contact leaves. The base for the contact leaves is U-shaped and has a pair of tabs which are bent to retain one of the rectangular faces of the tubular member in firm fixed position. The closed end may be concave to provide a camming action for the male pin to be inserted in the aperture therein. Additionally, a terminal strip portion can be provided extending from the U-shaped face to provide connection for an external conductor. Opposite sides of the tubular member can be foreshortened to bear against the two leaves to aid in biasing the leaves inwardly toward one another. If desired, the entire contact, with the exception of the terminal and closed end, can be encapsulated in a plastic cover layer by a dipping process or by insertion of a shrinkable plastic tubing over the contact. The contact can be used either singly or in a multi-contact connector block.

摘要: An electrical connector includes a first connector having a connector plate and a plurality of electric contacts thereon, and a second connector having a plurality of electric contact elements provided on conductors arranged on a board. The board is formed with slits around the conductors to support the conductors elastically by parts of said board surrounded by the slits. The first and second connectors are brought into detachable abutment against each other to electrically connect to electric contacts and the electric contact elements of the first and second connectors. The electric contact elements of the second connector each are provided with at least one ridge, preferably plural ridges facing to the electric contact of the first connector. The ridges preferably extend in parallel with the direction of sliding movement of the electric contacts caused by the elastic support of the conductors. With this arrangement, after repeated connections between two connectors a great many times more than thousands, no foreign substance can adhere to the electric contact elements and no longer is there any incorrect electrical connection between the contacts.

摘要: An electrical connector for attachment to a printed circuit board which allows stacked printed circuit boards to be positioned closer together than previously possible. The connector comprises a housing, one surface of which is mounted against one side of the printed circuit board, and at least one resilient female contact having a terminal end extending through a passageway in the housing and attached to the printed circuit board. An intermediate portion of the female contact is bent such that the portion is substantially parallel to the printed circuit board. The other end of the terminal is folded over to form a wiping surface for contacting a mating male contact extending from an adjacent printed circuit board. The housing includes an opening adjacent the contacting end of the female contact to allow passage of the male contact through the housing and into engagement with the female contact. The fact that the female contact is substantially parallel to the printed circuit board allows the housing to be much shorter than previous connectors, while still allowing for a sufficiently long contact to provide the necessary resilience.

摘要: An electrical connector for removable connection with a plurality of spaced conductors in a flat strip, such as a length of ribbon wire. The connector includes a housing containing a plurality of contacts and a conductor supporting member movable relative to the housing between an insertion position and a clamping position. The contacts and the conductors supporting the member define a plurality of conductor-receiving passages, the passages becoming smaller in size when the supporting member is moved from the insertion position to the clamping position. The conductors of a flat strip may be easily inserted into the passageways when the supporting member is in the insertion position, and the conductors are securely clamped between the contacts and the supporting member when the supporting member is in the clamping position.

摘要: A connector casing offering advantages in reducing the number of parts, at simplification of assembly and at reorganization and integration of parts management. According to this invention, there is provided a connector casing made of flexible synthetic resin and molded in one piece in rectangular box-like form. The casing has a top and a bottom hinged together at one rear edge thereof by a pair of hinge planes also integral with the casing. A front wall of the top and bottom have mating arched indentations to provide a cable opening when the casing is closed. Snap lock means are provided on the front walls and along each side of the top and bottom. Each side wall has a connector support near the rear. A rectangular opening is provided at the rear between the hinge planes to accommodate connection to a connector held in the casing. The casing will also accept flat cables and will accommodate metal cord holders about the cord.
